| 10 Bands That Need To Reunite
self-explained title | 1 | Genisis
No, the Gensis that "re-grouped" last year was NOT Genisis...Genisis is nothing w/o the orginal lead singer, Peter Gabriel. I well know forgotten fact, Phil Collins took over as the singer of Gensis when Peter left. I've been listening to them since I was a kid, and I would love to see Peter get back w/ it | 2 | Smashing Pumpkins
I know Billy is the maing force behind the SP, but it doesn't feel the same w/o James and D'arcy in their respective roles. That's just me though, a lot of people will still say it's the same thing, but it's not to me | 3 | A Perfect Circle
I've came to the verdict that APC was an awesome band that should've never quit when they did. Though I love Tool and ASHES dIVIDE isn't bad, APC was a perfect blend of metal/alternative. Also never got to see them in concert and I think it would be amazing | 4 | Frou Frou
this was just a good duo from the beinning, and I would love to see them make amens and regroup for the fans. | 5 | The Yardbirds
I can't begin on the awesomeness this band, layed the foundation for some well known guitar-gods such as Page and Clapton...wonder how it would be now...hmmmmm | 6 | Bush
I'm going to say it, Gavin's solo cd make me sick; he sounds like a priss now! Thus, the return of Bush in full gain blast is needed to restore his honor and bring back grunge! | 7 | The Pixies
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm | 8 | Stabbing Westward
They ended on a very very very horrible note, and a return would take that bad taste out of my mouth or at least replace it with a better tasting one...now i want some skittles... | 9 | Screaming Trees
I just realized I left out Mark Lanergan on one of my lists for unique singer...damn...anyways, another grunge band that would be awesome if returned. Seems like now and days they're not very known, but back in the day i'm sure they were a hit | 10 | Pink Floyd
I know it'll never ever happen, with Richard Wright passing and all. I'm sure there will always be one-offs and tributes, but w/o the full line-up it will never be the same...oh well | |
Golgoroth
11.17.08 | Genesis were still pretty good for a while after Peter left even if it wasn't the same. But Peter leaving did send them on a downward spiral towards badness. | DethThrasher
11.17.08 | Paramore | Thor
11.17.08 | Pink Floyd probably should now if you ask me.
I'm all for another APC tour though | AliW1993
11.17.08 | Screaming Trees reunion would be good. Keeping with the grunge thing Soundgarden would be even better. | Spamue1G
11.17.08 | APC for sure. Genesis... I'd love to see it, but it might mean that Peter Gabriel couldn't do some of his other work (with WOMAD artists, world music etc). Interestingly enough, all of the members of Genesis actually say that they wouldn't mind a reunion if the others wanted it, apparently.
I'd love to see APC in concert soooooooooo much... But what do you mean Stabbing Westward ended on a bad note? Darkest Days was their only worthwhile album imo, and a very good one at that. | P13
11.17.08 | Meet Me in St. Louis and SikTh need to reunite. | VicariousIntent
11.17.08 | God, what I'd give for an APC reunion. Talk about a band that ended on a bad note...if they made another full length LP it would probably be amazing.
Even just a tour! I never got to see them and they were my favorite band for the longest time. They were leaps and bounds ahead of any mainstream-ish rock today...just the atmosphere they conveyed.
But I digress. Good list, I obviously agree with 3 the most. | zer0limit
11.17.08 | Spamue1G; I loved Darkest Days, but that wasn't their final album, their self-titled album was their last album, and it was abismal.
Thanks for the input everyone! | Fugue
11.17.08 | I agree with 1 3 5 and 10
smashing pumpkins just annoy me now | kygermo
11.17.08 | You forgot Faith No More.
And APC would be pretty killer, as well as Floyd. Maybe they could get Richard Wright's son or something to play the boards (or someone in the family so the bloodline isnt toyed with) | Ironpriest
11.17.08 | Guns n Roses and Skid Row would make me a very happy person indeed. | fireaboveicebelow
11.17.08 | the yardbirds sucked balls when clapton was in, jeff beck = good yardbirds | Doppelganger
11.18.08 | it's Genesis* | TheStarclassicTreatment
11.18.08 | 6 ia aotya reunited now
and 7 and 10 never split | 72haha72
11.18.08 | 1 & 2 fuk yeah man! 2. Peter Gabriel era Genesis owns, and Siamese Dream is my favorite album ever.
I would also love Faith no More to reunite | brandtweathers
11.18.08 | i hope the absolute worst for phil collins | engleprunt
11.19.08 | faith no more
