FR33L0RD
06.19.20 | Just started jamming them very recently, A Dawn To Fear was an instant 4.5 for me.
Very interesting band. Really appreciate. |

06.19.20 | vertikal their best by far shit ranking |

06.19.20 | FR33L0RD: Was my favourite record last year without a shadow of a doubt. They're probably one of the best post-metal outfits operating today. They're on par with outfits like Neurosis, Isis, Amenra and Fall of Efrafa. Salvation is probably their most atmospheric record, Mariner features JC on vocals, Somewhere Along the Highway is their masterpiece. I think it's the band's cohesiveness, guitar/bass tone, compositional skill, production and fantastic vocal performances that set them apart from most other post-metal bands. |

06.19.20 | @Sinternet: only stans that discovered the band by that record would say that. Everyone 'real' knows it's SAtH. Vertikal has an amazingly dark tone sure, but compositionally it's lackluster compared to Salvation, SAtH and A Dawn to Fear. |

06.19.20 | I'd take it over The Beyond, but ^ is mostly right. Mariner has become my favorite, though, and Eternal Kingdom continues to be underrated imo. |
MementoMori
06.19.20 | @0GuyMan0: hey, Deliverance from The Beyond is THICK. Eternal Kingdom is somewhat inconsistent than say, The Beyond. |
DopeFiend
06.19.20 | 3 is 1 |
Pikazilla
06.19.20 | Mariner is too high lol |
MementoMori
06.20.20 | @Dopefiend: Nah. SAtH combines the heavyness and atmosphere better than Salvation, a record mostly reliant upon atmosphere and texture.
@Pikazilla: I like it more than the debut, Eternal Kingdom and Vertikal, although it's close. I do think Julie Christmas really did contribute something to CoL's sound. |
DopeFiend
06.21.20 | whatev. salvation had better riffs. |
Inveigh
06.21.20 | Salvation, SATH, The Beyond are definitely their best 3, in some order. Tbh A Dawn To Fear might be 4th for me |
Inveigh
06.21.20 | Also, dude, no offense, but top 5 CoL when they have what, 8 albums? Give us a top 5 Boris, or Melvins. Or Ted Nugent. |
bloodshy
06.21.20 | That wouldn't fit his list pattern. See above lists. |
FurtherDown
06.21.20 | Any CoL ranking is a good ranking, I would replace Mariner with Vertikal but whatever, both are awesome. |
MementoMori
06.22.20 | @Inveigh: it's top 5's because they fit my picks better.
@FurtherDown: Vertikal was probably the biggest toss up. Really enjoy Julie Christmas' contribution to CoL's sound however. |

06.27.20 | I really like Vertikal, got to see them tour that album. |
