My favorite Albums
Top 25 of my favorite albums. Pretty straightforward, right? |
| 25 | | Opeth Still Life
Even though most people praise this album for it's story telling, I always think of it as just a nice asset. However, the album is musically pretty awesome anyway. |
| 24 | | Agalloch The Mantle
Just beautiful, even though I'm not a fan of shrieking. Songs are a bit too long at times. |
| 23 | | Opeth Ghost Reveries
The best production on an Opeth record. It's also heavy as shit. |
| 22 | | Opeth Blackwater Park
Deciding between Blackwater Park and Ghost Reveries is pretty hard for me, and I could change my opinion any day, but for now, BP takes the lead. |
| 21 | | Brand New Science Fiction
Yup yup, controversial especially because of the whole Jesse Lacey sexual assault thing, it's still amazing music though. I've yet to listen to Devil and God. |
| 20 | | Dream Theater Awake
Just excellent. Don't have a lot to say about this one. |
| 19 | | Dream Theater Train of Thought
Again, heavy as shit, and Dream Theater's last classic album. |
| 18 | | Kanye West My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy
Kanye West at his best, this album got me into Hip-Hop and is still one of my all time favs. |
| 17 | | Dream Theater Images and Words
Dream Theater's classic record, though not my favorite. Production wise, it's lacking, musicianship wise, it's phenomenal. |
| 16 | | Kendrick Lamar good kid, m.A.A.d city
Not one bad song on this album, and while it may be a bit overshadowed by TPaB, it's still one of my favorite albums of all time. Also features one of the few times I enjoy Drake |
| 15 | | Nine Inch Nails The Fragile
The Fragile is a classic, but not NIN's best. It's flawless for the most part, but some songs are just a bit too long and overall, the album seems a bit bloated. |
| 14 | | Periphery Periphery IV: Hail Stan
In case you haven't noticed yet, I'm a teenager, so a bit of Dj0nt has to be here. This is probably also the newest album on this list, and I'll probably look at this album differently in a few years, but to heck with it. This album is really really good. |
| 13 | | Underoath Define the Great Line
I found this album hard to get into at first, but man it is a grower. I love the heavy production, I love Spencer's harsh vocals, I love Aaron's singing and his fast drumming, the guitar work is awesome, there is nothing for me to complain about on this album. |
| 12 | | Periphery Juggernaut: Omega
More Djent. This album was my introduction to Djent and therefore holds a place somewhere in my heart. I doubt that Periphery will ever manage to top this masterpiece. |
| 11 | | We Lost the Sea The Quietest Place on Earth
Really sad. While excessive repetitiveness is usually something I dislike in music, WLtS surely know how to use it in their favor. |
| 10 | | Radiohead OK Computer
This is the point where I'm too lazy to give any more comments, but I don't think that I need to explain any of the following picks. |
| 9 | | Radiohead Kid A |
| 8 | | Earthside A Dream In Static |
| 7 | | Kendrick Lamar To Pimp a Butterfly |
| 6 | | Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral |
| 5 | | Dream Theater Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory |
| 4 | | Radiohead In Rainbows |
| 3 | | Pink Floyd Animals |
| 2 | | Pink Floyd The Dark Side of the Moon |
| 1 | | Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here |
