| Chambered's Top 5 Games of The 2010's
Finally got around to this after some thought and careful examination. Let me know what you agree with, what you disagree with, and share your list! | 1 | Kentucky Route Zero
Quite possibly the most crucial, relevant, and vital piece of art released the last decade from any medium. Part dystopian nightmare, part surrealistic David Lynch-esque noir, part American cautionary tale. The music, the story, the characters, the set pieces all combine to create the most convincing argument for "video games are art" ever conceived. At its heart it explores a central question that American Life has seemingly been leading up to since we came upon this land as a people: "what do we owe?". Amazing. | 2 | Disco Elysium
Man, what a wild ride. What a critique of how deep our societal systems and personal ideologies have their claws into our identities. If being forward thinking was a match, this is the flame that erupts. Disco is a masterpiece. | 3 | The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild
Is it over yet? Can we stop now? Can we move on from the constant, over indulgence and excessive use of open world rpg as a genre? This is the last stop on the trail. Breath is as smooth as gameplay gets, as deep and fulfilling as anything else in the medium. It's like warm butter. You see this game Ubisoft? Enough already. This should be looked back on as a benchmark title in a genre that desperately needed this reimagination of itself. | 4 | The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt
I spent the first eight hours doing two side quests and playing around with alchemy. And it was glorious. This is the best game (until September) by the best dev in the industry. That's all you need to know. | 5 | Journey
SO many games were deserving of this spot. Skyrim? Of course. Dark Souls 2? You better believe it. Cuphead? Absolutely. And the list goes on. Eventually I went with something that felt more sentimental to me than anything. Journey is just that, and it's probably the most beautiful game I've ever played in more ways than one. | |

06.02.20 | I should make an honorable mention to Red Dead 2. It's truly a technical marvel. | JustJoe.
06.02.20 | hi sam
👋 | Chambered79
06.02.20 | Joe! How goes it? | Gallantin
06.02.20 | Only one here I find questionable is The Witcher 3. Otherwise, good list.
I don't support your notion that Dark Souls 2 or Skyrim are worthy of anything other than "worst games of the 2010s" , though. | JustJoe.
06.02.20 | it goes dude i’m just trying to stay sane at home during the quarantine & listen to some old music favorites here & there | JustJoe.
06.02.20 | hope you are good also friend
😁 | Chambered79
06.02.20 | What have you been listening to lately? | Chambered79
06.02.20 | Gallantin, Skyrim is quite the beautiful game man | JustJoe.

06.02.20 | only thing missing is a chambered tune that may fit the bill | aydross121
06.02.20 | Never heard of Kentucky. Looks sick, I'll give it a go. | Slugboiiii
06.02.20 | BOTW and Journey are absolute god tier games | Chambered79
06.02.20 | Good to hear slug. And yes aydross, it is a mesmerizing experience | JWT155
06.02.20 | Witcher 3 is so good. | el_newg
06.02.20 | Binding of Isaac: Rebirth
Rocket League
God of War
Super Mario Odyssey
idk what my 5th would be but definitely those four | PistolPete
06.02.20 | Been playing the remastered definitive edition of Xenoblade Chronicles. I know the game is old by now but I’d say it’s story is up there for some of the better ones I’ve seen in video games this decade. Nice to see BOTW here too, that game really took me back and made me feel the wonder and awe I felt the first time I played a Zelda game as a kid. | Chambered79
06.03.20 | Idk what the hell it is man but I found god of war to be incredibly overrated | Trebor.
06.03.20 | Dark Souls II? Really? | Chambered79
06.03.20 | What? | Gallantin
06.03.20 | Worst game of the decade.
God of War sucked, yea. | GreyShadow
06.03.20 | I've been playing BotW with the Labo VR as of recently and it's actually way cooler than i expected despite not being first person.
anyway
5 umm idk SmUsh, Skyward Sword, Undertale, Black 2, idk...
4 Kingdom Hearts 3
3 Fire Emblem 3 Houses
2 Persona 5
1 Xenoblade Chronicles
| aydross121
06.03.20 | Yeah, Gow is obviously a good game but also never got the full appeal.
Personal opinion, but I've never enjoyed these third-person games where your char is like half screen. I can't see shit guys.
The visual are next level though. Also love how the dialogue with the kid is so fluid in terms of merging gameplay/story into one. As in, your dude is talking, gets interrupted because of gameplay stuff and then it resumes with what was saying. | Chambered79
06.03.20 | Yeah the graphics in God of war are phenomenal |
