| AEW Double or Nothing
Spoilers ahead. Watched the AEW Double or Nothing show tonight with my daughter. It wasn't as good as February's AEW Revolution PPV, but it was worth the buy in. | 1 | | Best Friends Hot.Reckless.Totally Insane
Pre-show - Best Friends beat Private Party to cement themselves as #1 tag team challengers. Pretty decent match, but only one hug for the BF's. | 2 | | Ladder Devils Clean Hands
9-Man Ladder Match. Featured Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky, Kip Sabian, Joey Janella (subbing for the injured Rey Fenix), Orange Cassidy, Colt Cabana, Darby Allin, Luchasaurus, and the Mystery Contestant, who turned out to be Brian Cage. It was entertaining throughout, but I hate that they let Cage win and get an immediate title shot. Way to diss the whole rest of your roster. I was glad they let Janella into it, though. Sorry Rey Fenix got injured, but I like Janella better anyway. | 3 | | Strapping Young Lad The New Black
MJF beat Jungle Boy. For me, this was one of the best matches of the night. MJF is oh-so-slappable, and they're both really good wrestlers. | 4 | | Iron Eyes Cody Goodness All Good Saints Have Died
Cody Rhodes beat Lance Archer, to become the first ever TNT Champion. Why were they having the first ever TNT Championship not on TNT. Don't know. (Yes I do. $.) Very entertaining match, though. | 5 | | The Aliens Luna
Kris Statlander (the alien) beat Penelope Ford. Ford subbed for Dr. Britt Baker, who will be out for six weeks because Statlander and Shida screwed up and dumped humongous Nyla Rose the wrong way on Baker's knee last Wednesday. Always good to see Ford, who I find consistently entertaining. Shame to lose Baker for awhile, though. Her work with Tony Schiavone is priceless. | 6 | | Field of Spears And the Earth Soundly Slept
Dustin Rhodes beat Shawn Spears. Way more entertaining than it had any right to be. Spears came into the ring in a full suit, because he claimed Dustin had retired and wouldn't show up. He was wrong. Rhodes showed up behind his back and ripped him down to his skivvies. The biggest downside - way too much Shawn Spears plumber's crack. | 7 | | Unto the Beast Pridelands
Hikiru Shida beat Nyla Rose to take the women's championship. The result was a surprise to me. The match was pretty good, but I'd have rather seen Rose hold the belt. | 8 | | Champion Promises Kept
Jon Moxley beat Brodie Lee, retaining his title. No Dark Order interference, and a pretty intense match. Lee was winning for much of it, until Moxley put the two of them through the floor of the entrance ramp. | 9 | | Stampede to Timberline The Weight
Matt Hardy and the Elite beat The Dark Order in a Stadium Stampede match. This was a mixed-bag, Marx Brothers kind of wrestling match. There were times it was very funny, but also times it was very silly. I don't even want to hear what Jim Cornette has to say about this one. I really like Adam Page, though. | |

05.24.20 | As I said, it wasn't as good as AEW Revolution at the end of February, but it was still pretty amusing, especially during a quarantine. There was no match as good as Paige and Omega vs. The Young Bucks from the last show, and nothing as lame as February's plodding Rose v Statlander match. The Stampede, while funny at times, was also ridiculous. They really need to rein in Matt Hardy, although I'm sure this wasn't all his fault. But by the time they did the Stampede Match, I'd already gotten my money's worth from the rest of the card, so it was all good. | Divaman
05.24.20 | Bummer for both Archer and Lee that they were beaten in their first AEW PPV matches, though. On the plus side, nice to see Vicki Guerrero at the show. | Maco097
05.24.20 | The main event was super fun | calmrose
05.24.20 | ppv was awesome, especially MJF/Jungle Boy (MOTN), Shida/Rose, Moxley/Lee, and the Stadium Stampede match
the Stadium Stampede match was ridiculous in the best way possible, so much fun | Divaman
05.24.20 | Don't get me wrong, there was a lot that was really funny. But it was just over the over the line for me between silly and too silly. Matt Hardy comfortably holding his breath under water and changing personalities every time they pulled him back up, Jake Hagar doing the old western cliche of sliding Pages face across the bar knocking over drinks, etc., Matt Hardy magically finding a ladder so he could climb up and do a dive off of the goal post, were all times I found it getting too silly. It's a matter of taste I guess. | thunderlimbo
05.24.20 | Great show. Also RIP Hana Kimura | bloc
05.24.20 | Bruh I didn't know we had more wrestling fans here
I didn't watch the PPV yet, but unfortunately I saw most of the spoilers already. I will still check it out this week though | mrend55
05.24.20 | Really enjoyed the show, especially the main event. I haven't really been able to enjoy or focus on anything since I read that Hana passed, Rest in Peace Hana Kimura. | Divaman
05.24.20 | I didn't really know much about Hana Kimura, but that was very sad. | Divaman
05.26.20 | OK, this didn't disappoint. Here's Jim Cornette's head exploding after the Stadium Stampede match:

05.26.20 | lol no doubt he was gonna lose his shit after watching that one | Divaman
05.26.20 | Keep in mind, too, this was after the ladder match to kick off the night. Yeah, the Stadium Stampede set him off pretty good. |
