AEW Double or Nothing

Spoilers ahead. Watched the AEW Double or Nothing show tonight with my daughter. It wasn't as good as February's AEW Revolution PPV, but it was worth the buy in.
1Best Friends
Hot.Reckless.Totally Insane

Pre-show - Best Friends beat Private Party to cement themselves as #1 tag team challengers. Pretty decent match, but only one hug for the BF's.
2Ladder Devils
Clean Hands

9-Man Ladder Match. Featured Frankie Kazarian, Scorpio Sky, Kip Sabian, Joey Janella (subbing for the injured Rey Fenix), Orange Cassidy, Colt Cabana, Darby Allin, Luchasaurus, and the Mystery Contestant, who turned out to be Brian Cage. It was entertaining throughout, but I hate that they let Cage win and get an immediate title shot. Way to diss the whole rest of your roster. I was glad they let Janella into it, though. Sorry Rey Fenix got injured, but I like Janella better anyway.
3Strapping Young Lad
The New Black

MJF beat Jungle Boy. For me, this was one of the best matches of the night. MJF is oh-so-slappable, and they're both really good wrestlers.
4Iron Eyes Cody
Goodness All Good Saints Have Died

Cody Rhodes beat Lance Archer, to become the first ever TNT Champion. Why were they having the first ever TNT Championship not on TNT. Don't know. (Yes I do. $.) Very entertaining match, though.
5The Aliens
Luna

Kris Statlander (the alien) beat Penelope Ford. Ford subbed for Dr. Britt Baker, who will be out for six weeks because Statlander and Shida screwed up and dumped humongous Nyla Rose the wrong way on Baker's knee last Wednesday. Always good to see Ford, who I find consistently entertaining. Shame to lose Baker for awhile, though. Her work with Tony Schiavone is priceless.
6Field of Spears
And the Earth Soundly Slept

Dustin Rhodes beat Shawn Spears. Way more entertaining than it had any right to be. Spears came into the ring in a full suit, because he claimed Dustin had retired and wouldn't show up. He was wrong. Rhodes showed up behind his back and ripped him down to his skivvies. The biggest downside - way too much Shawn Spears plumber's crack.
7Unto the Beast
Pridelands

Hikiru Shida beat Nyla Rose to take the women's championship. The result was a surprise to me. The match was pretty good, but I'd have rather seen Rose hold the belt.
8Champion
Promises Kept

Jon Moxley beat Brodie Lee, retaining his title. No Dark Order interference, and a pretty intense match. Lee was winning for much of it, until Moxley put the two of them through the floor of the entrance ramp.
9Stampede to Timberline
The Weight

Matt Hardy and the Elite beat The Dark Order in a Stadium Stampede match. This was a mixed-bag, Marx Brothers kind of wrestling match. There were times it was very funny, but also times it was very silly. I don't even want to hear what Jim Cornette has to say about this one. I really like Adam Page, though.
