05.10.20 | Don't agree with all of it (I've always found Sabbath Bloody Sabbath astonishingly overrated, despite the presence of a few great songs -- the title track, "Looking for Today," and "A National Acrobat" to an extent -- and I have always wanted to like Sabotage more than I actually do), but I absolutely agree with the top three. The first three albums (especially the second and third) more than solidified that metal was here to stay, no matter what the haters wanted to sling in its direction. |

I appreciate most of it -- I like "Supernaut," "Snowblind," "Tomorrow's Dreams," and "Changes" -- but it seems to air quite a bit on the self-indulgent side at times ("St. Vitus Dance," though especially on "FX," which I really never need to hear again). |
