Insert weekly Darkthrone Ranking

Thought I'd throw my hat in the often listen on here Darkthrone ranking.
1Darkthrone
Under a Funeral Moon

The truest and purest form of Black Metal embodied on this iconic LP, truly one of my favourite albums of all time. The song writing, riffs, lyrics are all perfect.
2Darkthrone
Transilvanian Hunger

See above but to a lesser extent.
3Darkthrone
A Blaze in the Northern Sky

Not as focused or as enjoyable as the other two in the "unholy trinity" but still iconic all the same.
4Darkthrone
Plaguewielder

Massively underrated, a really enjoyable and solid, if not completely mind blowing release.
5Darkthrone
Hate Them

One of the most genuinely angry records I have ever heard, the muddy production works perfectly too.
6Darkthrone
Panzerfaust

I know this is like silly low, but when it comes down to it the vocals are also pretty silly. Which is a shame because the riffs and atmosphere are all there in spades.
7Darkthrone
Ravishing Grimness

The older brother of Plaguewielder, very adept if not particularly interesting Black metal.
8Darkthrone
Total Death

Another quite underrated album, while obviously the golden era had come to an end, the album has it's merits and is by no means bad.
9Darkthrone
Arctic Thunder

A real return to form, a very hard hitting and great album.
10Darkthrone
Old Star

Riffs upon riffs.
11Darkthrone
The Underground Resistance

Some songs outstay their welcome tbh.
12Darkthrone
Soulside Journey

I am sorry but I just didn't click with their Death Metal debut, I sometimes even forget that A blaze wasn't even their first album.
13Darkthrone
The Cult Is Alive

A nice mix of Black and Crust.
14Darkthrone
Dark Thrones and Black Flags

The most fun record of the crust trilogy i'd say.
15Darkthrone
Circle the Wagons

Same as above, but again to a lesser extent.
16Darkthrone
F.O.A.D.

I still enjoyed Crust Darkthrone, just not as much.
17Darkthrone
Sardonic Wrath

Literally forgot this LP even existed while making this list, actually belongs between The underground Resistance and Soulside.
