| The Smiths / Morrissey Ranked
So yeah I haven’t really seen this done on here? And the music is particularly special to me, I Honestly don’t care what Morrissey has said / done, I separate art from artist, hell how else would someone like Kanye have fans? Anyways lemme know yours! | | 1 | | The Smiths The Queen Is Dead
You knew this was coming. The boy with the thorn in his side is honestly one of my favourite songs of all time. | | 2 | | The Smiths Meat Is Murder
Very close to the Queen is dead, but Morrissey’s voice just wasn’t quite as good here, well I wonder is incredible. | | 3 | | The Smiths Strangeways, Here We Come
What a promising record of things to come that never came to pass. RIP the smiths. | | 4 | | The Smiths The World Won't Listen
A really great compilation that flows well. | | 5 | | The Smiths Hatful of Hollow
Some really damn good songs on here. | | 6 | | The Smiths Louder Than Bombs
Like the world won’t listen but doesn’t flow as well. | | 7 | | Morrissey Ringleader of the Tormentors
A lush, varied, brilliant album. | | 8 | | Morrissey Viva Hate
Whilst feeling like a leftover smiths LP, The brilliance of his debut cannot be ignored. | | 9 | | Morrissey Your Arsenal
A blazing return to form. | | 10 | | Morrissey Vauxhall and I
Among fans considered his greatest solo release, and whilst it is damn good it doesn’t quite tip the top for me. | | 11 | | Morrissey Kill Uncle
I actually really enjoy this one, a very unique vibe. | | 12 | | Morrissey Bona Drag
Some brilliant tracks, others not so much. | | 13 | | Morrissey Years of Refusal
Quite a hard rocking Moz album! | | 14 | | Morrissey You Are the Quarry
Another solid effort, some of his biggest tracks. | | 15 | | Morrissey Swords
Some songs I cannot believe were left off his main albums. | | 16 | | Morrissey World Peace Is None of Your Business
Some songs on here are ridiculous but the album as a whole is very light and catchy. | | 17 | | Morrissey I Am Not a Dog on a Chain
Whilst it’s obvious moz is way Past his prime, this album is genuinely an artist having fun again and that makes for a nice listen. | | 18 | | Morrissey Low In High School
Side A is fantastic, Side B is shite, probably the worst songs of his career. | | 19 | | Morrissey California Son
Ugh. | | 20 | | The Smiths The Smiths
Whoops totally forgot this bad boy, not going back now haha this would be sandwich between Strangeways and The world won’t listen. | |

04.18.20 | I think Morrissey’s voice and lyrics (particularly with the smiths) are timeless. Finding the smiths was a really big deal to me. | pollastrerostit
04.18.20 | where is the s/t? | JeremiahBullfrog
04.18.20 | OH MY GOD | pollastrerostit
04.18.20 | It's actually my fav from the band. The Queen is dead is right there too but somehow the s/t just clicks a bit more with me emotionally.
Finding the smiths was a real big deal for me too, opened my mind to a whole new world of music. So good. | Divaman
04.18.20 | I like Meat Is Murder the least of The Smiths' albums. Have you listened to Johnny Marr's solo stuff? It's pretty good, especially Call the Comet and The Messenger. | JeremiahBullfrog
04.18.20 | Honestly they’re just very special in nearly every way, in a way I’m glad they finished before they started producing manure (I’m looking at you, the cure)
Divaman - really how come? Yeah solo marr is pretty good, the guitar tones on call the comet are brilliant | Divaman
04.18.20 | Just less stuff on MIM that I love than on their other 3 studio albums. | avery14th
04.18.20 | as I scrolled I thought u were really gonna put s/t below ALL of morrissey's solo stuff and i cannot imagine the pain i would have felt if that was the case | pollastrerostit
04.18.20 | The tunes are cool but they are missing morrisey too much... everytime I spin a solo marr album I end up listening to the smiths again | JeremiahBullfrog
04.18.20 | ^^ yeah this is exactly how I feel, I personally enjoy solo moz a lot more than solo marr | pollastrerostit
04.18.20 | I'm not too much into solo morrisey either. Have tried to listen to a couple of records and while not bad, never got really hooked. But yeah, ironically they are not as reminiscent of the smiths. Solo marr might benefit from a better singer tbh, he's not bad but quite generic | Jasdevi087
04.18.20 | you missed Southpaw Grammar m8 | Jasdevi087
04.18.20 | oh and Maladjusted | neekafat
04.18.20 | 20 is 20 | Sharkattack
04.19.20 | Oh yeah this guy | UnreleasedDemo
04.19.20 | What about Maladjusted and Southpaw Grammer? Those two would probably even top my list. To me most Morrissey albums are on the same level than the ones by the Smiths. Excellent stuff throughout. | JeremiahBullfrog
04.20.20 | yeah i fucked up when I made this list tbh... Had all the albums in my head i knew i needed to included and then fucked up when actually filling in... ugh, for me Maladjusted wouldve been above swords, and southpaw above low in high school |
