Good question, I'm not the biggest fan either, but I felt that this new record has incredible production, lots of lovely synths and an overall aesthetic that I truly enjoyed. He still wallows a bit on his antics, but I think he pulled it off better than on his last 3 albums, mixing up the best of his newer, more mainstream sound with his darker stuff.
