I'm not too big on Obituary either tbh. But the others, MC (well you heard it, but Retribution is better imo), Sinister, Monstrosity, Pestilence all rip. Oh yeah check Brutality - Screams of Anguish and Solstice(USA-FL) - Solstice.
Oh, about Gorguts: There's def no prog influence in their debut, it's just dark, twisted osdm that rips. TEOS is more technical but still very little prog and a good bit of Suffocation influence. I'd check those regardless of how you feel about Obscura onwards, they sound worlds apart. |

They played one song off each record, then Pleiades' Dust in full and closed with Orphans of Sickness. So barely bordering an hour. Still worth it, plus it's probably tiring to play the way they do lol |
