10 Years of Hans

Hard to believe its been 10 years since I joined this site. I found it through Wikipedia of all places. I was looking for reviews for Pearl Jam - Backspacer, and it led me here. My first comment was on a 30 Seconds to Mars thread. I quickly became addicted, and was highly active from 2009-2012, which is why most of you probably don't know me. One thing I'm proud of is I haven't changed a bit. List is hard jams and things I love about Sputnik.
1AC/DC
Let There Be Rock

I found one of my best friends in the world IRL on Sputnik. Me and Inveigh have had several legendary hangs and I consider him a brother. Other bros that I'm friends with on FB, like Balls, Sonic, MO, Maniac, etc. We will hang someday I'm sure. M/
2Motorhead
Ace of Spades

I can't count how much new music I discovered through this site. Genres, albums, songs. Its astonishing.
3Rush
Permanent Waves

They say the best things in life are free. The amount of entertainment I've gleaned from this site without paying a cent for it is astounding.
4Latterman
No Matter Where We Go...!

I also wouldn't change the site layout for anything. It's burned into my brain. If they did a massive overhaul I wouldn't know what to do. I will say it absolutely needs to be optimized for mobile devices.
5Red Hot Chili Peppers
Blood Sugar Sex Magik

It's been ages since I have written anything here, but I had an absolute blast writing reviews back in the day, under my main, and my reviewing Alt, OFace. I always found it astounding that people for the most part liked my reviews. Some were good, some were absolute shit, some were horrible on purpose (which made them good somehow), but in the end, it's been a pleasure to share my thoughts.
6Steel Panther
Feel the Steel

Aside from music, I've learned a shitload about random things. There are people from all different walks and areas of the world here. So many different perspectives.
7Type O Negative
October Rust

I would much rather read Sputnik reviews than some smarmy pseudo intellectual puff piece over at Pitchfork or any of the other major sites. Even the shitty reviews here have a purpose. Most will tell you what the fucking album actually sounds like. There are also some huge talents here, from a writing perspective. I could name them all, but you already probably know. Sowing, for one.
8Tom Petty
Full Moon Fever

It's been an awesome ride. Thank you Sputnik.
