1Rainbow
Rising

Here the blackmore's back. This second album properly introduces a singer that will become an icon in Heavy-Metal : Ronnie James Dio. No real classics but eight astounding tracks that will open the way for all the "Dungeon" Metal of the 80s.
2Aerosmith
Rocks

Often prefered from Toys In The Attic, this is another fine release from the Aero.
3Blue Oyster Cult
Agents of Fortune

Yes, here it is. The one with Don't Fear The Reaper. But the rest is worth your time and can be considered minor classics.
4KISS
Destroyer

The album Gene Simmons is the most proud of. Yes, there is something great in this album, if you look closely.
5Queen
A Day at the Races

Definitely a follow-up to A Night At The Opera released in 1975. This goes more into the pop section, though Tie Your Mother Down and White Man will be enjoyed by Southern and Hard Rock fans.
6AC/DC
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Here they are. The band that will soon be synonimous to Hard Rock. This third (yes, really) album is still a little rough but the band's style is almost there. The title track is a classic.
7Scorpions
Virgin Killer

Forget about the offensive cover and just enjoy the Hendrixian hard rock those Germans are proposing to your ears. Not a real classic but a fine hard rock album.
8Thin Lizzy
Jailbreak

Yes, the one album with The Boys Are Back In Town. A bunch of classics from Ireland's finest hard rock band.
9Rush
2112

The Canadian trio goes completely progressive with this semi-concept album. The instrumental intro is one of the most over-the-top moment in their carreer.
10Judas Priest
Sad Wings of Destiny

Judas Priest creates his own version of Heavy-Metal after a forgettable first album. The band sound will improve with the following albums but you have mostly everything there.
