08.27.19 | 3 is amazing. Gotta hear the rest asap. m/ |
JLR2DEG
08.27.19 | @Hawks - Aside from 3, I think you will like 1, 4, and 10 the best. |
TheSpirit
08.27.19 | nice... i would assume many of these are pest productions releases |
JLR2DEG
08.27.19 | @TheSpirit - I would have thought so too but, suprisingly, I think that 2 is the only Pest Productions release. |
TheSpirit
08.27.19 | mmm i'm pretty sure pale and dopamine are also on pest i would have to check |
JLR2DEG
08.27.19 | @TheSpirit - You are right about Pale...my mistake. Asunojokei's album is also on Pest Productions. |
Dimorphic
08.27.19 | Awesome idea for a list. I always find it strange how Asia is so huge yet I know so few Asian metal bands other than Ritual Day and Sigh. Will be checking these out. |
JLR2DEG
08.27.19 | @Dimorphic - Thanks bro. I got the idea to make the list after repeated listens to 1, 3, 4, and 10. I wanted to see how many Asian bands I could find that fit under the blackgaze genre and, as you can see, it is a pretty small list. I could not find much more than I have already heard. |
Dimorphic
08.27.19 | Damn, that Jaddah album is better than that State Faults album everyone was hyping up so much. Not even my genre but this is really good. |
JLR2DEG
08.27.19 | @Dimorphic - I have not heard State Faults in a long time. I like their 2010 Head in the Clouds EP the best. Because I am an old screamo fan and also love blackgaze, I have greatly enjoyed Jaddah's mix of blackgaze, screamo, and post rock. I am glad you are enjoying it as well. |

08.27.19 | “Damn, that Jaddah album is better than that State Faults album everyone was hyping up so much.“
I find that hard to believe but I’m gonna have to jam it asap. |
combustion07
08.27.19 | Gonna try these |
JLR2DEG
08.28.19 | @Hawks - Hey bro...have you had a chance to jam it yet? What is the verdict? |
JLR2DEG
08.28.19 | @combustion07 - Let me know if you like any of the albums. |
sizeofanocean
08.28.19 | Very interesting list. Will check a couple of them out. I always like it when they incorporate some influences from their origin into the music into it too |
JLR2DEG
08.28.19 | @sizeofanocean - I always like that too. Violet Cold is one of those blackgaze bands (from Azerbaijan in the Middle East) that incorporates influences from its origin country...especially on the Anomie, Kosmik, and Desperate Dreams albums. I thought about including them in the list since the Middle East is technically located on the Asian continent but most people do not think of the Middle East as Asian. |

08.28.19 | “@Hawks - Hey bro...have you had a chance to jam it yet? What is the verdict?”
Not yet bro but soon! And yes Violet Cold is so damn gooooooood. |
JLR2DEG
08.28.19 | @Hawks - Violet Cold is in my top ten list for sure. I listen to Anomie often...that album is just amazing. : ) |
Hawks
08.28.19 | Fuck yeah bro. All of his stuff is so damn good. |
JLR2DEG
09.05.19 | I just added Chinese bands Zuriaake and Deep Mountains to the list. I cannot believe that I missed these when I originally made the list.
@TheSpirit - Both of these additions are from Pest Productions. : ) |
JLR2DEG
09.12.19 | I just added the self titled album by 雲雀 -Hibari- to the list. |
JLR2DEG
09.18.19 | I just added Unreachable by Soulless. |
Dimorphic
09.18.19 | If you're adding Indonesian bands you should check out Vallendusk. |
JLR2DEG
09.19.19 | Dimorphic - I have listened to Vallendusk in the past. Good band. I did not include them in this list given that they are more folk black metal than blackgaze. : ) |
Dimorphic
09.19.19 | Fucking hell not gonna lie I completely forgot this was a blackgaze thread, lol. |
JLR2DEG
09.19.19 | @Dimorphic - No worries bro...there is so much crossover in black metal influenced genres. : ) |
