gryndstone 07.07.19	depends on what u like. obligatory must-haves: Smash Bros Ult, Mario Odyssey, BoTW (and inevitably 2 when that comes out). Like RPG's? Octopath Traveler is a slapper, Xenoblade Chronicles, maybe pick up some of the FF remakes. Racers? Crash Team Racing is amazing. Platformers? Hollow Knight, Crash Trilogy, Celeste, the Spyro trilogy remaster when that comes out Fighters? Arms is criminally underrated and makes good use of the Joy-Cons. MK 11 is fun, Pokken if u like pokemon and also tekken, and i personally am hoping the Kill La Kill game is good. There are a lot of really good indie games on the eShop as well - Undertale, Night In The Woods, Cuphead, Oxenfree, Moonligher etc,. Sorry I work at a Gamestop I know too much

ramon. 07.07.19	Mario Kart 8 is the best casual racer on the Switch. If you are seeking a really deep kart racing experience, while lacking in content, Team Sonic Racing's team mechanics are ridiculously refined and I reckon TSR has the most enjoyable moment-to-moment gameplay out of the three heavy hitters. Crash Team Racing has a fuck load more content than TSR and has a lot more depth than Mario Kart 8, though it isn't as strong of a casual experience than Mario Kart 8 or as strong of a competitive experience than TSR, sitting somewhere in the middle. Personally, TSR has my favourite gameplay mechanics and is thus my favourite of the three overall, but I've played a fuck load more MK8 due to how good it is at parties. You didn't ask for this but you're welcome. BOTW is essential. I'd add Splatoon 2 if you like shooters. Probably the most innovative shooter franchise of the last decade. The game has so much content now given its major update cycle is coming to an end. HUGE bang for the buck.
auberginedreams 07.07.19	Mario and Zelda obviously. I'm playing Hollow Knight right now but I suck at it lol. Any of the Final Fantasy ports. Smash Bros. There's a lot of good indie games too like Steamworld Dig 2, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Undertale, etc.
GreyShadow 07.07.19	i played TSR like twice and I'm probably going to trade it in for Crash or finally give in and rebuy MK8. TSR felt kinda awful but again, only tried it twice

ramon. 07.07.19	@GreyShadow Worth noting MK8 is the only racer of the three that runs at 60FPS. TSR and CTR both run at 30. The Sonic racing franchise also has a fairly lightweight feel to kart control too which feels quite a bit different to MK8 and took me a decent amount of time getting used to in previous releases. These sorts of games really need demos. Good luck figuring out which one works for you. Big [2] to Valkyria Chronicles

Uzumaki 07.08.19	I haven’t played the first yet, but it may be because I’ve played Fire Emblem, I found VC4 rather easy to get into and simple enough to get the hang of. I can vouch for 4 as a fun strategy JRPG.
