Cleaning out my Sputnik closet

I don’t really change my ratings on albums after initial listens cuz I’m a lazy mofo, but I finally decided to and in the process I decided to keep track of the biggest changes so here they are
1St. Vincent
St. Vincent

2.5 to 4.0
Honestly I don’t know when I rated this, most likely when it first came out, and I’m more pop-friendly now. More like pop-loving, because this album is a delight to listen to all the way through.
2State Faults
Desolate Peaks

2.5 to 4.0
Ouch. I don’t recall ever thinking this band had any material that warranted less than a 3.5, and I’ve been a fan for awhile (and still procrastinating on jamming the new album).
3Icarus the Owl
The Spotless Mind

3.0 to 4.0
I remember not appreciating the dynamic tag team of progressive and pop punk back in the day and it shows. I jam this album all the time now, and his whole discography. Consistently terrific
4Johnny Foreigner
Waited Up 'til It Was Light

3.5 to 4.5
Oh man, this album is such a gem. So frantic and fun, beautiful duo vox trade offs. Deadly unappreciated
5The Tallest Man on Earth
The Wild Hunt

4.0 to 5.0
My fives are usually the only ratings I try to keep up to date with my taste, but this is my most listened album ever. You’re held captive by an intricate, genius, and beautiful guitar and u forget about life for a bit and it feels good
6Cursive
Mama, I'm Swollen

4.0 to 2.5
tbh this was my first cursive album so I appreciate it for the introduction because domestica and ugly organ slap. This album is a drag and not good songwriting
7Fireworks
Oh, Common Life

4.0 to 3.0
Pop punk ain’t my favorite anymore, tho I got a lot of favs that are pop punk. This ain’t one of them (Gospel is tho)
8Foo Fighters
The Colour and the Shape

4.0 to 2.5
There was once a time when I thought Foo Fighters were better than Nirvana but I now realize they’re both equally average (minus Nirvanas unplugged)
9Kanye West
The Life of Pablo

4.0 to 2.5
A genius. Once in a generation madman taken reigns by that ray j sloppy seconds. I only was hyped for some of the features and no more parties in LA is still great
10Lil Dicky
Professional Rapper

4.0 to 2.0
Bruh goes hard, but this is a mess and has no replay value, and barely funny compared to his mixtape. And he’s been bland since
