Opeth - Full discography ranked
The result of this weeks DiscoRun. This one was a bitch to rate holy crap. One of the most consistent bands I know of (for the first 9 albums at least, woooo spoiler). There are quite a couple of songs that have the same rating for me so I did those at random. Keep in mind that I hadn't listened to Orchid and Morningrise before, while others are some of my favorite albums of all time, so songs from those two are bound to be lower on my list. |

With so many amazing songs to choose from, its hard for me to put it higher than this. I feel this would've been better if they cut out most of the middle and just left us with the bookends. |

I can lose myself in guitar solo's like this one. So smooth, ambient and jazzy. Damnation overall is very good in this and Windowpane is an immediate representation of what the album has to offer. |

This song starts of so fricking strong and I always remember how great A Fair Judgement is, and then the second half comes around and I remember why it wasn't in my top Opeth songs, because I feel they could've done much more with that epicness that they start building in the first half. |

This is actually the first time listening to Orchid, and wow did I expect something completely different. I thought it would be much more rough around the edges and way different from the Opeth we all know and love, but this has most of the seeds that would later make legendary albums like Blackwater Park.
