My Top 12 Game Of Thrones Scenes

Just finished this stupid show. My main takeaway from it is Ramin Djawadi is the fucking man. Dude can take a turd sandwich and turn it into gold, seriously he is a musical genius. List is my top 10 scenes from the show off the top of my head. If you disagree, give yourself a titty-twister from me. Also can we please blacklist Dave & Dan from ever getting their incompetent paws into anything in Hollywood ever again? K thanks.
Killing the Dragon

Drogon mourns Daenerys and melts the Iron Throne. I’m a weirdo and I love the dragons, so this scene got to me, just felt so bad for Drogon being alone in the world now.
11Thy Art Is Murder
Dear Desolation

Brienne confronts The Hound over custody of Arya. Just amazing acting and writing, and you don’t know who to root for.
The Mantle

Tywin dresses down Jaime while cleaning a deer. This scene is just incredible. Charles Dance crushes it, and so much information is conveyed in a very short amount of time. The kind of scene that reminds me why I watch the show.

Hardhome. The whole episode. It was just really good all the way through.
The God That Never Was

Ned tells Arya she’s going to marry and have kids and Arya tells Ned that she won’t. This scene is just so powerful because Ned fundamentally is in denial about his daughter, yet he loves her dearly and has a better relationship with her than she does with Catelyn. It’s one of the best father-daughter scenes ever yet so bittersweet.
Black Sails in the Sunset

Basically the entire Blackwater episode. Written by Martin, it was pure gold, especially all the plot/character stuff.
6Eternal Tears of Sorrow
A Virgin and A Whore

Tyrion’s confession and sentence. One of the most climaCtic scenes in the book, and well done on the show.

-Edit- There, I fixed it for you Gyro < 3
No Grave But the Sea

I’m going to cheat here, but the whole string of scenes starting with Theon talking to Maester Lewin, him giving a rousing speech to the Iron Born, getting knocked out and ending with Lewin getting killed in front of Bran and crew. Alfie Allen is maybe the greatest actor on the entire show, and all these events were somehow hilarious and tragic at the same time.
In the Nightside Eclipse

The very first scene. From the score to the cinematography, to the utterly creepy dead girl that is not quite so dead, I knew I was hooked after this sequence.
3Johnny Cash
At Folsom Prison

Oberyn tells Tyrion a story from his childhood and becomes his champion against The Mountain. Just a hard-hitting dramatic scene with amazing acting and packed with tons of emotion. I feel literally drained by the end of that scene.
Marrow of the Spirit

Jaime and Brienne in the hot-tub, Jaime reveals why he killed King Aerys. The show at it’s best, just a long intimate close-up shot and monologue that reveals fundamental aspects of a character, and phenomenal acting from Coster-Waldau.
Blood Mantra

Ned’s execution. The most iconic scene in the series and wonderfully realized on the show.
