I'm Getting To Triple Digits
I'm getting to 100 reviews before this year is over. Yup, I've been majorly slacking this year in general as far as this site goes. Transferring from community college to a four year earlier this year was crazy. Living in apartments on the other side of the street of campus and about a two minute walk away from the bars in wonderful College Park, Md. this semester certainly has taken up some time. And on top of it all I finally found a group of people who are as serious about music as I am, which was been incredible and has found me playing on stages I didn't think I'd touch for some time. The whole recording in Paul Leavitt's studio was pretty awesome too.
Pardon the rant, here's some albums I plan on reviewing on my way to 100. |
1 | | Crash Romeo Gave Me The Clap
Awful, over-produced pop punk. Will have a fun time with this one. |
2 | | Emery While Broken Hearts Prevail
As long as this doesn't have too many reviews when I get around to it (ala Marksellsuswallets: look I'm sober and get your name right!), I definitely look forward to touching on this. |
3 | | Chiodos Bone Palace Ballet
I enjoy this record so much. I'm a bit bummed I have to sell my tickets to this show since my band is playing a show the same night these guys come to Maryland. I'll probably do the reissue of this. |
4 | | The Friday Night Boys That's What She Said
Fueled By Ramen's newest sensation fresh out of Va. Aside from sporting a wonderfully tacky album title, they have big league hooks and some surprisingly good guitar work. |
5 | | The Bigger Lights Fiction Fever
See above, replace FBR with Doghouse, and drop the tacky album title. These guys are absolutely insane. I'll fill you in on the story in the review. |
6 | | A Skylit Drive Wires...And The Concept Of Breathing
Look forward to making fun of Jag's ridiculously bad voice and commenting on how they steal rhythms from All Time Low and still want street credit from the hardcore community. Yikes... |
7 | | Rise Against Appeal To Reason
I'll definitely submit this after reading the rest of the reviews and making sure I have something new and relevant to say. Really want to do this, mainly since the band is a favorite of mine and I've reviewed everything they've done since RPM. |
8 | | My Chemical Romance The Black Parade Is Dead! CD/DVD
I enjoy this band and the live show they put on supporting this record so much. The theatrics were so well and the contrast in shows was a fantastic touch. Good things coming here. |
9 | | Thrice The Artist In The Ambulance
I mean did you expect anything else? It's going to be long, a tad personal and pretty much the only album I'll review for 100. The goal will be to submit this before 12/31 |
