Controversial Albums

I'm not talking albums that flat out suck, i'm listening albums that have received both praise and criticism here on sputnik.
1Black Sabbath
Born Again

My opinion: 3.8
A weird time for Sabbath, New vocalist Ian Gillan defensibly brings a new dynamic to this band. While people criticize the album for poor production and weak songwriting, I can appreciate the less serious song style and the amazing vocals from Gillan.
2Kanye West
Yeezus

My opinion: 2.6
Yeezus was Kanye trying to be industrial and cutting edge. IMO he just failed and most songs are unlistenable besides a few exceptions here and there.
3Korn
The Paradigm Shift

My opinion: 3.7
Korn's "comeback" after the failed dubstep album "Path of Totality". It brings back the electronic effects but much more subdued with much better songwriting. I like.
4Linkin Park
A Thousand Suns

My opinion: 3.5
Linkin Park's most adventurous album to date is an album featuring little guitar and a excessive amount of interludes. While I agree the interludes are annoying I think the actual songwriting is easily the best of their non-metal albums. I can look past the problems and I see a decent album.
