Friday13th 02.02.19	Very good in terms of riffs and melodies, though I agree the vocals range from competent to annoying. I saw them live and it was killer apart from Dave's feeble voice. The lyrics are only occassionally good, and I think that's actually their achilles heel. Metallica have some clearly better albums because James used to actually put some thought into the lyrics. I do love some of Dave's newer stuff like Endgame though, so in the end one of the better thrash bands but not the best. If you like accessible stuff you're gonna prefer Metallica but if you like darker, more technical stuff there are plenty of harder thrash bands so Megadeth is in this odd niche of somewhat accessible and technical but with a punkish raw attitude.
