Trophycase 01.17.19	Hard to believe that a dude like Aronofsky was gettin with Jennifer Lawrence, but hey, Good on him.
Slex 01.17.19	I couldn't disagree more with pretty much everything going on here but interesting take The Wrestler and Requiem are tied for his best imo
Dewinged 01.17.19	Yeah as disturbing as Requiem is, it's probably his best. Noah would go straight to 7 and fall off a cliff if you'd ask me. Black Swan would go number 2 for me, amazing movie. Nice to see Acid Mothers Temple there, legends!
Viriathus 01.17.19	Aronofsky is one of those dudes I keep getting told that id like but ive never gotten around to watching any of his stuff. I did watch Black Swan years ago but I barely remember it.

Trophycase 01.17.19	Nice to see Mother! getting some love. Took me way to long to see it cause it got bad reviews but I managed to catch it on a plane. "Nice to see Acid Mothers Temple there, legends!" Hah, yeah man I caught em at a show last year. They seemed like pretty cool dudes. One of them was playing a Theremin which was the first time I had ever seen that instrument.

Grimlin 01.17.19	Noah is worth watching. Not the best movie in the world, but I enjoyed it. Though, the real life christian outrage was the best part. Requiem is 1 for me.

Trophycase 01.17.19	Yeah that didn't age as well for me. Still a great movie, but it feels a lot about the impact of the first watch. The fountain can definitely be cringe, I get that. Too personally meaningful for it not to be #1 though :)

thecheatisnotdead 01.17.19	Interesting list. I'd actually agree big time on 1, film and score alike. Probably didn't hurt that I first saw it not too long after losing a close family member to cancer, so many of the things that a lot of folks may have felt were overwrought or mawkish were, from my perspective, wholly organic and impactful. And Hugh Jackman sells the hell out of every minute. Pi I probably need to rewatch, Requiem I probably never want to, but those would definitely round out my personal top three. The rest might jockey around; Noah's an interesting watch, but would definitely fall in the lower half of the lower half. Some great ideas and sequences, and Crowe and Connelly are reliably great, but the movie as a whole ends up staggering under its own weight. Still need to see Mother!, also. Honestly kinda forgot about that one.

Clumseee 01.17.19	The Wrestler is by far his best. Once you get past your early twenties you really grow out of Aronofsky.

Trophycase 01.17.19	Well I'm 25 and saw mother only a few months ago and loved it. I guess it remains to be seen if they grow off on me. Not sure who I'd grow into at this point.

Trophycase 01.17.19	And while I think The Wrestler is an amazing movie and almost perfectly executed, there are lots of movies like that which don't feel like they transcend "being a movie"... off the top of my head, I can think of movies like Rear Window, Shawshank Redemption, The Usual Suspects, The Truman show
