Season's greeting to all! Here I am to catalogue some of my favoured EPs/Singles that made up quite a fun year in electronic/club music, as a little appetiser to wet the tastebuds before my assiduously produced EOY albums list. Will add relevant info and genre tags soon. 1-5 are top 5 of the year, 6-21 are 4s, rest 3.5.
very nice! dug a bunch of these, barker delivered my fav ep overall. dj nigga fox is up there too. that overmono ep is luscious, "quadraluv" is brilliant.
Thanks luci! The Barker EP is pretty singular and just sounds amazing production-wise. Didn’t know Healer dropped us a generous gift, look forward to checking, he’s made my albums.
@granite: Seeing Sotofett was a highlight of my year so put him on the top spot, he dropped the tune and it was special. He’s also released a couple of EPs at the end of this year.
@relinquished - classified as an EP on most sites and it’s an accompaniment to offending public morality LP released this year as well. perhaps more sensibly a compilation
love the list Zen friend. lots i didn't pick up on here, love Peggy and Shackleton but totally missed those releases. 2 was in constant rotation this summer and I have you to thank for that one! looking forward to the LP list
faves this year in eps and singles were the AL-90 and Dozzy singles as well as 2 red hot Giegling EPs from Vril and Molly
@chortles - yeah I really love this Peggy single but it was overshadowed obviously by Itgehane which was a massive hit.
The Dozzy singles were excellent! Need to give them more spins. I've slacked on my giegling this year unfortunately
