Daarrth's 2018

[Untitled]

Contrary to what I believed prior to this album's release, it seems that 2006's "Brother, Sister" is NOT the best piece of work that the band will ever have to offer. This album has the best vocals, instrumentals and just overall sound than anything else this band has ever put out.

Trench

Trench is an album that does what it needs to do, if you follow- it takes up the fifth slot in a band's discography. While able to contain a fair amount of radio hits, it is also able to maintain the respect it deserved from both critics and fans.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting much after 2015's generic and derivative "Blurryface", but my expectations were exceeded greatly whenever Trench first dropped on October 5.
Every track here is great, apart from "Bandito", which I find is an incredibly boring track with the crappiest, least exciting climax of all time.
The more progressive elements here are a highlight for me.

Time Will Die And Love Will Bury It

Honestly, this is the only album I've heard in full by this band. But it surely makes me want to check out more of their work.
Don't have much to say about the album in terms of its sound, but it's amazing.

A fantastic, moody and emotionally-arresting indie rock album.

6Erra
Neon

Sure, Erra has definitely somewhat "gone off" over the years. The band is probably never going to release anything that measures up to their first two efforts. but this album is still great, and definitely something of a step up from "Drift".

Favourite tracks:

Deception Bay

Dream pop is a genre that I am not too fond of. Hell, I'm not particularly keen on any genre that falls under pop. But this is such a chill album that can put me in a relaxed frame of mind for the rest of the whole day.
