12.04.18 | My only comment is that the story presented in that game isn’t cannon. Disney said all of that stuff isn’t canon (Expanded Universe, books, games, etc.) |

12.04.18 | Are you going to believe in disney? OR GEORGE LUCAS HIMSELF? |
Casavir
12.04.18 | It really doesn't matter. You can prefer one continuity or the other. That said, the new films just feel lifeless and empty in comparison to the preceding six in George's main saga. |
DarkSideOfLucca
12.04.18 | Yeah, I think the prequels are an absolute joke and tbh I don't enjoy the new series either, even though it took me a while to admit.
I really only love A New Hope and Empire. I like Jedi, but it has a lot of problems now that I'm not a kid anymore. Other than that, I enjoy some comics, video games, etc but really not too many Star Wars movies. I guess I'm not really as much of a fan as I used to think I was. |
DarkSideOfLucca
12.04.18 | Also there are like a billion more reasons wrong with the new series, if I started typing about that now I would never stop lol |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
12.04.18 | First of all, this is ONE thing wrong. And it's not even a relevant item, out of the many you could bring up, because...
Virtually everything outside of the movies, clone wars, and rebels, is non-canon, as per instruction by Lucasfilm Ltd.

12.04.18 | Rodrigo I mean you have no choice but to “believe” Disney. It’s why the Disney produced films don’t follow what you’re talking about. They own Star Wars and decided they wanted to wipe EU clean. Dumb decision, but asking why this and that don’t line up with the EU is pointless when they said from the very beginning that it was going to be ignored in the new trilogy.
That being said, I still enjoy all the new movies coming out. I just choose to view them as fun sci-fi action romps and nothing more. They aren’t nearly as good as the OT or episode 3, but they’re still fun to me. And that’s all that matters at the end of the day in my eyes. Good Star Wars movies, maybe not. But fun nonetheless. |

12.04.18 | i've moved on from star wars and i hate that i've had to |

12.04.18 | i havent even pirated Han Solo yet thats how dead the hype is |
SymbolicInTime
12.04.18 | Yeah the Solo movie is the first one I skipped on buying. Least favorite of the entire series |

12.04.18 | I remember I watched the original six as a kid and... Yeah, that's it, I remember that I did that. |

12.04.18 | I haven't even seen Solo yet lmao |

12.04.18 | Every Star Wars film after Return of the Jedi, with the possible exception of Rogue One, has simply been a bad dream I had after mixing Foster's Lager with White Castle belly bombs. |

12.04.18 | i liked rogue one |
maxer
12.04.18 | I also liked Revenge of the sith a lot. It probably has more flaws than positives, but for some reason I just look through them |

12.04.18 | Pots wins best comment again. But yeah for better or worse Disney now dictates what's canon, and that's because of a deal that George Lucas agreed too. It helps to realize Lucas' vision was far from perfect too, especially when he got way too into marketing the franchise.
As for the new stuff, I take it for what it is: a new take on the franchise that will probably not live up to the all time sci fi classics that composed the original trilogy but shouldn't necessarily be expected to. Yeah some of it's not great; Solo was boring, Rogue one was kinda dry until those epic final 10 minutes, and some of the choices by the director in TLJ were nonsensical and clearly made with no thought for the franchise going forward, but there's still an overall strong new cast, good talent working on the TV show, and if nothing else, JJ will be back on Episode IX so while that movie might not push too many boundaries you can at least expect safe quality. People forget how happy we all were with Star Wars again before TLJ came out. |

12.04.18 | @SpaceMan
That'd probably hurt, no thanks. |
Sinternet
12.04.18 | i actually am among the minority on the internet apparently where i enjoy the new series fully, but yes there was way more potential in the old expanded universe canon
my favourite arc in any piece of star wars media is the yuuzhan vong and the destruction of coruscant arc in the later bnovels and that had potential for an amazing and very dark series of films if they'd have gone for it |
Tyler.
12.04.18 | star wars has been dead lol |
SitarHero
12.04.18 | Once Infinity War 2 is out I think Im gonna be done with Disney completely. |

12.04.18 | The mouse is an abomination agreed. I have no interest in Marvel or Star Wars. Weaponized nostalgia anesthetizing the masses.
Don't even start with the live action remakes of classic animated films. |
SitarHero
12.04.18 | Oh jesus, yeah. It's ridiculous. |
DarkSideOfLucca
12.04.18 | I fell asleep while watching Rogue One both times while trying to watch it and I wasn't even tired walking into it.
Rogue One is boooooorrrrriiinnnggggg. Also that movie makes me racist because there are literally zero character traits so when referring to any character I have to be like "oh yeah the Asian guy, the white woman, etc"
Fuck that movie, minus the obviously awesome Darth Vader scene. |
J() Alexander
12.04.18 | I watched Rogue One with my friends when it came out and I remember basically nothing. |
DarkSideOfLucca
12.04.18 | Alright I'm gonna make my own list, thanks for the idea |
butcherboy
12.04.18 | always thought the franchise’s only true legacy was how pioneering the original trilogy was in special effects.. all of the movies are drab with story lines that read like maury povich episodes..
Darth, the DNA test confirmed You are the father!!!!! |
