Definitive Labyrinth Ranking
My favorite Power Metal band. Every one of these guys is hella talented. |
1 | | Labyrinth Sons of Thunder
50 straight minutes of the the hardest guitar leads and a killer ballad to boot. Power metal heaven. |
2 | | Labyrinth Return to Heaven Denied
Their sophomore album and the first one that put them on the map with a cult following. Came out the same time as Eccliptica. Shame this one never blew up the way Sonata Arctica did. |
3 | | Labyrinth Return to Heaven Denied Pt. II: A Midnight Autumn
An unexpected masterpiece for an album so late in their career. My review covers some more details but it lives up to the original and gives a much needed modernization to their sound. The superb production is a nice touch too. Best entry point if you want to get into these guys. |
4 | | Labyrinth Labyrinth
Their most pop-themed album but the songwriting is still top notch. They mix a little bit of eurobeat/dance in here for some interesting results. |
5 | | Labyrinth Architecture Of A God
One of the biggest disappointments. Half of the album is pure genius. But the other half is derp filler. |
6 | | Labyrinth Timeless Crime
A sweet EP between two of their best releases. Features an acoustic version of their famous /Falling Rain/ and a few other bangers. |
7 | | Labyrinth Piece of Time
Their early sound with a different vocalist. The tight songwriting and guitar work show potential. |
8 | | Labyrinth No Limits
Another album with their early vocalist. Vocals will turn some people off but the guitar work is still far above average. |
9 | | Labyrinth Freeman
Very non-memorable. |
10 | | Labyrinth 6 Days to Nowhere
