Although you could literally have any ranking and it would be a solid list because all their albums are like 2500/5 I think I personally like 7 the best, then 3 and 5 but once again it doesn't matter because they're all amazing
Rowhaus 09.28.18	yo 0x I was never super huge on c33 because the songs are short and all seem to blend together into an amorphic slur of sound. I like shugg better when they have well-defined tracks. I've never been much of a concept album guy in general, but it still jams hard m/

DarkSideOfLucca 09.28.18	@Rowhaus - yeah man, you gotta just look at that album like it was meant to be released, as one song. Hence, the first riff being the first three tracks - its not really meant to be three different songs. It's definitely not for everyone, which is why I am never surprised when it's low on a lot of people's lists but the atmosphere on that album (especially in the more quiet sections), lyrical content, musicianship and everything else on that album is masterpiece levels of amazing to me. DEI rules but it's insanely overrated on this site imo. It's still incredible, but I will never understand how people prefer that to their later, more realized/more mature work. Glad to hear you're on a Meshuggah kick though m/ I fucking adore this band.
