09.09.18 | The whole Conjuring franchise is ass tbh. |

09.09.18 | I've only seen the first conjuring and I don't even dig it |

09.09.18 | i just saw this movie tonight at our local drive-in. It was reeeeallly boring and badly done. Tone problems everywhere, not spooky, and they destroyed the antagonist by giving her **speaking lines**. Your demons shouldn't personally talk to your protagonists like that, it removes all the spookiness. :| |

09.09.18 | Never seen any of them and I never will |

09.09.18 | the stuff with the little boy he fucked over or whatever was unbearable
only watched this crap cuz I got paid for it |

09.09.18 | I like the first Conjuring but I thought the second was a rather lacklustre B-movie, wasn't scary in the least. I have zero interest in seeing this one. |

09.09.18 | spitting the blood of christ was pretty funny |

09.09.18 | Annabelle 1&2 are well crafted but nothing special overall and more oriented towards a female audience. |

09.09.18 | worst part is when the movie starts... and you are there watching it lol
best part is when you get a refund lol |

09.09.18 | The Conjuring is everything that's wrong with horror today. |

09.09.18 | i dont like watching ok movies but i really enjoy watching awful ones. i had watched slender movie earlier this week and i was pleasantly surprised that this was actually even worse |

09.09.18 | worst 2018 "horror" movie award still goes to insidious the last key |
Pheromone
09.09.18 | I’d argue this is worth watching because I laughed constantly throughout the entire film when I saw it 2 nights ago. Some of the cinematography & music is so so crazy bad - what was up with that with movie trailer opening?! What fucking accent did that man have?! If I had more energy I’d chop up a compilation of ‘how does this exist?’ moments from this film because there are many.
5/5 instant classic |

09.09.18 | All you have to do is stop seeing them people, and they'll stop making em. Just stop. |
PatientlyDead
09.09.18 | I'd say that the whole inclusion of the boy that the father once exorcised was completely unnecessary. It felt like the boy's demonic presence and inclusion was just tacked on as an afterthought to fill out the less scary/less interesting parts. |

09.09.18 | Wow is this really that bad? |

09.09.18 | Hereditary was pretty good though. Psychologically demanding and very creepy. None of that jumpscare bullshit which the nun is filled to the brim with. |
Tunaboy45
09.09.18 | Hereditary was amazing, one of the best horror films I've seen this decade. |

09.09.18 | Better than The Happening? |

09.09.18 | Never heard of that one so I'd say yes

09.09.18 | ehhh Mark Wahlberg in a horror movie? I don't think im missing anything. I prefer him in shit like Pain & Gain |

09.09.18 | It's one of most unintentionally hilarious movies ever |

09.09.18 | if you want hilariously bad horror films you could do a lot worse than the Happening, but Wish Upon is the way to go |

09.09.18 | horror movies are terrible like 90% of times and the ones that are not terrible are not even that good imo |
zakalwe
09.09.18 | Done up the arse by the father or fucked into the gates of Hell by the Nun. It’s an ecumenical matter tbh. |
Tunaboy45
09.09.18 | Also, check Martyrs, The Wicker Man (original), The Witch, Suspiria, Audition and Irreversible. The last one isn't technically 'horror' but it's one of the most visceral and upsetting films I've ever seen. |
JeetJeet
09.09.18 | Videodrome is amazing but is that really horror? Feels like it exists in its own special catagory. |
Tunaboy45
09.09.18 | It's body horror so I'd say so |
PatientlyDead
09.09.18 | French or American Martyrs? |
Tunaboy45
09.09.18 | French, stay well away from the American one. |
Deathconscious
09.09.18 | I want to see this movie, it looks like a so bad its good movie. And The Conjuring is average as fuck, idk how it got so much praise. |
alamo
09.09.18 | "I’d argue this is worth watching because I laughed constantly throughout the entire film 5/5 instant classic" thissss. there was this dialogue between father and french guy that was supposed to sound deep and serious but half the cinema was laughing. unfortunatelly i dont remember what it was about |
PatientlyDead
09.09.18 | Thanks Tunaboi |

09.09.18 | Despite all the negativity on this movie, I'd say it's still worth watching. |

09.09.18 | "I want *good* horror films."
Some Argento flicks, especially Suspiria and Phenomena, they constantly have terrible plots but are freaking scary nonetheless. I don't know how he does that.
Also, Tale of Two Sisters is pretty good.
(And yeah, obviously Videodrome, The Fly, The Thing etc etc, but those aren't all that horror. Masterpieces nonetheless.) |
