theBoneyKing
08.23.18 | You can add single tracks on Spotify though... |
ViperAces
08.23.18 | Maybe to a playlist, but you cant add them to uour library and then shuffle all of your music. |
theBoneyKing
08.23.18 | I also don’t see how the shuffle option on Spotify doesn’t work, just got to Songs and hit shuffle play.
I use and love Spotify but the only drawback I see to it in terms of user experience is the save limit. I haven’t hit it yet but you cannot save more than 10,000 tracks or download more than 3,333 songs. I’m pretty sure Apple Music doesn’t have these same restrictions. |

08.23.18 | Viper, you can just click on the individual track and hit “like” and it will go to your library. I just did it. |

08.23.18 | Souless |

08.23.18 | I just tried it too and it added the song to my "favorites" playlist. When i enter the library i only have artists albums and podcasts to choose from. |
theBoneyKing
08.23.18 | Idk what you mean by “favorites” playlist, but my app lets me click on and see all saved songs (sortable either by date added or title) just as it does all saved albums. |
ViperAces
08.23.18 | That is really weird. Could it be the country Im using it from or that its the free version? |
ViperAces
08.23.18 | Okay ive started free trial and i see its quite different now. Do you like it better than apple misic though? |
Confessed2005
08.23.18 | Soundcloud, spotify, deezer...
Soundcloud is probably the best one. |
theBoneyKing
08.23.18 | I’ve never used Apple Music so I can’t attest to that. I’d say you have to consider strongly whether the Spotify save/download limit will be a problem for you. |
JS19
08.23.18 | You can just right click on a song and say 'save to your library' what are you talking about |
ExecutiveExecuterexe
08.23.18 | Bandcamp, I guess.
Soundcloud is somewhat decent |
onionbubs
08.23.18 | “apple music is missing a lot of the songs”
just add them via your own library via icloud problem solved |
theacademy
08.23.18 | you shouldnt use apps because it devalues music
at least when u were stealing every record, and editing the metadata yourself, you had to think about every album and invest time into getting it and maintaining it
only leeches who truly hate music would ever consider streaming |
TheSpirit
08.23.18 | i use spotify but i also strangely agree with theacademy
i probably spent years editing track names and downloading album art

08.23.18 | limewire FTW |

08.23.18 | I stream nowadays cuz it makes it somewhat easier to search for new artists if they play techno/house/electronic shit because I haven't had the best of luck finding it all on soulseek. beyond all the licensed shit, I go to soundcloud for the less formal. apple/spotify aren't gonna have all of your favourite underground black metal bands, but if I wanted to scavenge for that I'd still use some of the blogs that are alive n kicking.
also academy has a point. most of what I like I end up trying to buy. |
Rolling Girl
08.23.18 | Spotify does have a better shuffle than Apple music in my experience (but you have to have premium to shuffle your whole library)
But I use apple music (with student discount) because the Spotify doesn't work well on my mac for some reason. |
