08.23.18 | there's enough meat in these albums to feed a village |
Marehelm
08.23.18 | Quite a large village, actually |

08.23.18 | Hey I know this person. |

08.23.18 | hey Joe |

08.23.18 | 👋 |

08.23.18 | Your title reminds me of the Great Comforter aka 'The Heat Death Of The Universe'. |
osmark86
08.23.18 | the heat death is perhaps the most brutal ending in some respects so I suppose it's fitting |
Egarran
08.23.18 | Actually it's the opposite of brutal. Afaik heat death means that everything in the universe has the same temperature and nothing can interact and then there's just a thinning gray soup in a constantly expanding universe. |
osmark86
08.23.18 | that same temperature approaches 0 Kelvin though. the most frost-bitten of temperatures.
naw I'll be honest, I mixed this up with the big crunch which is obviously a lot more brutal. |
Egarran
08.23.18 | Indeed. But I subscribe to the simulation theory in which the universe is stopped when the desired results have been achieved.
Our only hope is that the universe gets to run in the background because the programmer gets sentimental. "I can't just delete all my little sims." |

08.23.18 | yeah Infrared Horizon is a very good album. figured I'll jam the shit out of their debut again though because there's so much in that one that is amazing. personally I think it edges their latest album but both are totally brilliant. |

08.23.18 | @eg: I fear the day it says "let's make a slight adjustment to parameter X and run another iteration" |
Egarran
08.24.18 | Surely that depends. "Let's try raising general empathy by 10%".
Maybe they already tried that and the world collapsed in a week. |
osmark86
08.24.18 | I believe they tried with 70% increase, but the world turned into one giant zionesque rave. nothing got done and everyone died, albeit with smiles on their faces. |
Egarran
08.24.18 | I remember that savegame. Worth it! |
