| Buckethead Ranked ('91 - '99)
The Man, the Legend. The Bucket. | 1 | | Buckethead Colma
'98
The first of the lighter side of Buckethead and it's a heavy outing. Incredible passages of clean guitar throughout make for an intricate and emotionally engaged listen. | 2 | | Buckethead Giant Robot
'94
This would be 1 if it wasn't for Colma. I've really come to enjoy this album so much, as it has all of Buckethead's traits in a more concise form and really packs some great moments together, while maintaining an early concept album vibe. | 3 | | Buckethead Bucketheadland
'92
Honestly, I thought about putting this lower because it just always seems way too overly long. It wasn't the first Buckethead I listened to because I was accustomed to a shorter, different format, so I'm not very attached to it though some regard it as a classic I think. | 4 | | Buckethead Monsters & Robots
'99
Has more of the industrial, grungey feel than his others in this decade, which has seen more or less success on later releases. It's an unoffensive listen but quirky with some cool riffs. Feels like I'm in a video game at times. I could see it being passed up by non-traditional listeners but it definitely has some gems.
Notable Tracks: Stick Pit, Revenge of the Double Man, and Nun Chuka Kata | 5 | | Buckethead Bucketheadland Blueprints
'91
A surprising, free-flowing collection of many of Bucket's eclectic ideas which become explored later on. This is almost a relaxing listen and goes by quick. A couple of tracks were placed onto Bucketheadland but I feel they are better here for some reason. No frills just chills. Have you heard Seaside? | 6 | | Buckethead Day of the Robot
'96
His most experimental outing coming off of Giant Robot but I'm just not too big on it. Not something I come back to often. | |

07.15.18 | I felt like I had a pretty good way of splitting up his discography before all the Pikes and I see his earlier output being separated in a way from his 2000 work, where it really runs the gamut of experimentation. '01 to '09 next. | Assemblage
07.15.18 | Thanks! I have most of my second list ready, and around 2013/2014 I was going to do a year per list in regard to the Pikes. 2015 had 117 albums come out so I have to find a way to make that work. | Assemblage
07.15.18 | Precisely, I've been down in a slunk lately and not having listened to Bucket in some time, for some reason he's been helping me get out of it. | EasterInTheBatcave
