Primo Victoria
This is one hell of a debut for one of the biggest metal bands in the world. The obvious star of the show here is the opening title track, probably their biggest hit; however, almost all other songs here are worth a mention as well: Into the Fire is one of my all time favorite Sabaton songs, Metal Machine is a really cool tribute to the most legendary heavy metal titans of the past and Counterstrike is very close to my heart as an Israeli. Not every song here is a winner but most of them are, and each one brings a lot of interesting things to the table. Great fucking album, easily one of this year's best. |

Pretty good heavy / power metal album, but sadly not a hugely memorable one. The absolute best part about it is the vocal performances of both Russell Allen and Jørn Lande, two of the greatest metal vocalists of all time (in my humble opinion). I only wish more songs (well, all songs) featured both of them instead of just focusing on one. |
