artiswar 03.03.18	@Grey for better or worse? and to answer your question, I once did a 6+ hour drive across provinces to see Napalm Death, Carcass and Suffocation. It was well worth it but I never again attempted anything so ambitious.

DominionMM1 03.03.18	flown all over the country to see neurosis. baltimore was the furthest city (1600 miles) that i've traveled to for one of their shows. and yes every trip was well worth it. none of them were too expensive; airfare can be cheap and airbnb is a godsend.

Sinternet 03.03.18	literally never been to a gig outside my hometown, trains are too expensive and slow for me to justify it. Would go to festivals but none of my friends really like them and i aint going alone.
GreyShadow 03.03.18	just added 10 to the list and loved it which is just another reason for me to go. The trip + tickets ends up being around $800-$900 which isn't surprising but I have never spent that much on a concert (festival in this case)...or really any source of entertainment all at once. Apparently they allow for tents/camping which saves me the cost of a hotel. I'd probably be traveling solo because none of my friends would spend this much on something like this. gahh someone help me out

Masochist 03.03.18	I've driven 350 miles for concerts before, that's about the farthest I've gone. But I know people who have flown from here (Austin, TX) to San Francisco specifically to catch Temple of the Dog, and one of those guys is going to fly to Japan to catch Nine Inch Nails. Also, people routinely go overseas for music festivals and such all the time (I can't tell you how many people come from overseas here to Austin just for SXSW or Austin City Limits), so your trip isn't out of the ordinary.

Divaman 03.04.18	6-8 hours. I'm spoiled living in the New York/metro area -- most of what I want to see comes reasonably close to my door, although there are times when I'll choose to go Atlantic City or one of the casinos in Connecticut rather than deal with getting into and around Manhattan.
