Iron Maiden Ranked

I had ranked this band fully a few years ago and I thought I'd post it here. It's also a different kind of list which is more exciting.
1Iron Maiden

Their most technical and majestic work with tracks like Flash of the Blade and The Duelists being underrated classics.
2Iron Maiden

The best album from the Di'Anno era and among their best work.
3Iron Maiden
Piece of Mind

The real Dickinson-era watershed.
4Iron Maiden
Somewhere in Time

This one has grown on me considerably.
5Iron Maiden
Iron Maiden

Great debut.
6Iron Maiden
No Prayer for the Dying

The single most underrated Iron Maiden album. The good parts are still really good and the bad parts are nowhere near as bad as they are generally made to seem.
7Iron Maiden
Brave New World

Somewhat overlong but worthy of note and the best of the reunion-era albums by far.
8Iron Maiden
The Number of the Beast

An overrated album with three classic tracks, a ton of filler and arguably the worst '80s Maiden song. This would have worked far better as an EP but alas, we were stuck with this. Thank goodness for the three albums that would follow.
9Iron Maiden
The Final Frontier

Everything from The Alchemist onwards is good but the first half is pretty dull and sometimes just plain bad.
10Iron Maiden
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son

The single most overrated Iron Maiden album without any of Number of the Beast's peaks. A pompous, dry and overblown effort that wastes much of the sublime leads that Dave Murray laid down.
11Iron Maiden
The X Factor

Meanders incessantly.
12Iron Maiden
Fear of the Dark

Chains of Misery, Be Quick or Be Dead and Judas Be My Guide are the only good songs here.
13Iron Maiden
The Book of Souls

Empire of the Clouds and The Red and the Black are good. Not much else though.
14Iron Maiden
A Matter of Life and Death

Repetitive and really boring.
15Iron Maiden
Dance of Death

16Iron Maiden
Virtual XI

Even more so than Dance of Death.
