01.25.18 | Music is good, but that band name is terribad. This "[verb] the [noun]" band name fad needs to end... |

01.25.18 | I was set to give this a right old rinse but it’s great!
Perigree is class. |

01.25.18 | Agreed with Sitar, but the music is dope! |

01.25.18 | Thanks for the feedback! I don't disagree about the verb the noun bandname fad, but i always felt ours was a little different and in general not that bad. also fits the sound of the music. I am in another band called The Ominous They which is a pretty cool name. it aint easy to be original with band names at this point in time. glad yall digged the tunes tho. |

01.25.18 | Fuck the nonce |

01.25.18 | Really enjoyed it tbh - the clean sections are pretty damn great too |

01.25.18 | thanks! our guitar player can play the hell out of his instrument. |

01.25.18 | If this has Toundra and mestis influence I'm in! Gonna check in a bit. |

01.26.18 | good n noice. awesome drumming too.
i also agree with Sitar. Try a new name? |
Kompys2000
01.26.18 | This actually isn't that bad. $4 is without a doubt too much to charge for a 3-song EP though, especially since you guys don't seem to have a very big following. |
bgillesp
01.26.18 | Okay so this is awesome! Add yourself to the DB and I'll give it a 3.5. Probably about 3.6 for me. Second song gets a bit repetitive in the middle for me, but a lot of interesting sounds elsewhere. |
zaruyache
01.26.18 | bring out the melodies in the lead a little more in the mix to make those harmonies hit harder, mebbe. Otherwise ye sounds good, gj guys. |
Dewinged
01.26.18 | You get automatic +1 for referencing Toundra. But yeah, adding to what everyone said already. This sounds great. I would add a bit more work on the keyboards, maybe bering them more upfront, and unless it is your concept, I would definitely add vocals. But yeah, good stuff dude ;) |
jmh886
01.26.18 | We would add vocals if we could find a singer. Our guitarist could do it but he can't pull it off live as we only have one guitar player right now too. So if you guys know anyone in Baltimore send em our way! Thanks for all the feed back. The name is the name at this point so deal with it. Also, I don't think $4 is too much to ask just so we can make our money back. Particularly when you can stream it anywhere for free. If you aren't willing to give a band a measly $4 then you aren't really supporting them. But anyways, thanks again. I will indeed add us to the DB! |
Kompys2000
01.26.18 | You're right, $4 isn't a ton, but you also have to realize that pretty much nobody on Bandcamp charges more than $1 per song (dividing album cost by # of tracks), and a large portion of projects with no claim to fame give their music away for free, so asking people for $1.33 per song, given where y'all are in your careers, is just kind of unrealistic. So maybe $4 isn't "too much" but it's "proportionally more than just about anyone else is charging", and maybe that's not a great idea if your goal is to make back the money you spent making this.
"you can stream it anywhere for free."
Well, I couldn't find you guys on YouTube, iTunes or Spotify, and your Reverbnation page doesn't have any of the songs from the EP... So I'd say "anywhere" is a stretch. |
artiswar
01.26.18 | Just starting listening now and it's really good. I usually say vocals are overrated and unnecessary but a good voice could really compliment this. |
artiswar
01.26.18 | Just finished, man that was fun. I was pretty much grooving the whole time. I think you should change the price-point to pay-what-you-want. I think $4 is too much to expect for a 3 song EP, but that's just me. Great job, can't wait to hear more. |
jmh886
01.27.18 | @Kompys. Perhaps I jumped the gun since they aren't up yet but It will be streaming on all of those within the week. Bandcamp is faster to upload so we did all that first, but it will be streaming most places soon. And are we really debating over a dollar here? Come on now. You go to a show and buy a CD, it cost 5 bucks, you don't get to haggle. I don't think a dollar per song is something that is set in stone. A three song punk EP could be 6 minutes long. A three song Drudkh EP could be a half hour. Ours is 15 minutes. I think it's all relative. Having said all that, I do appreciate hearing everyone's opinions on the matter and will take them into consideration. I also hate reverb nation. Maybe I should delete our page. |
jmh886
01.27.18 | Regarding vocals, we've always wanted them. Our guitarist used to sing if you check out those old demos, but we lost our second guitarist and he can't sing and play this stuff at the same time. But we have lots of vocal idea.s We've tried out a few and most are either not that good or flaky. Impossible to find a decent musician sometimes. If you know anyone hit us up! |
Kompys2000
01.27.18 | Lol yeah reverbnation is ass |
jmh886
02.14.18 | We are now on Spotify for those interested. |
DungeonBoy
02.14.18 | Your music is super competent man. Personally I think with the style your playing, vocals are almost a necessity to keep it interesting throughout as the music is very rhythmic. It's also a great backbone for some potential killer shred guitar. |
jmh886
02.15.18 | Thanks man! Out guitarist is a beast so he does have some gnarly solos. The only good reason we don't have a vocalist is we can't find one. These songs were kind of originally meant for vocals. The newer stuff we are writing is a little more instrumentally arranged, where as these were arranged to have vocals and we kinda made some edits to make them a little more interesting instrumentally. |
DungeonBoy
02.15.18 | Nice dude, can't wait to hear the new stuff |
