Who gets annoyed by...?

"I like this a lot! It reminds me of..." Me and my friend just recently started writing jams in the vein of the bands below, and I've jammed with people who seem to dread the comparisons. For me, it's a method of mapping and understanding what kind of tunes we are to make. Not that I'd limit us to that, but for some reason I enjoy finding comparisons in order to visualize a flow of songs and that kinda stuff. Also: feel free to recommend other artists that may fit into these categories for the various reasons i've listed if you so please.
1Oathbreaker
Rheia

For the eerie usage of clean vocals in a wall of sound style with blast beats..we as a group are undecided on if it should include screams though i think it would be practical.
2Redshift Pilots
Moonlight Synthesis

For mixing black metal with post-hardcore elements, though ours would probably lean more towards...
3Underoath
Lost in the Sound of Separation

Pretty much just for the moments on these last three albums where all vocals take a backseat and they essentially play post rock
4Sleepmakeswaves
Made Of Breath Only

More post rock. This aspect would probably be the centerpiece.
5Cult Leader
Lightless Walk

Because we all like a little bit of unbridled chaos.
