Assemblage 12.24.17	Cool, I will. I just decided to start contributing more instead of uselessly lurking. I'm one of the few who did enjoy Revival more than most at first, but overall it feels like less content than any of his other recent material. And I have to majorly disagree that it's as bad as Encore.

Assemblage 12.24.17	Haha, it definitely seemed out of place at first in my opinion too, like "Really we're going back to that again?" but I guess I warmed up to that bit. The second track does Walk on Water in a better way, and it "sort of" leads into it.

Assemblage 12.24.17	Even though I can't stand Evil Deeds anymore I can see the strength in the first half of Encore, really, but it seems like it was given up halfway through, which was more or less claimed by Em anyway. I feel at least Revival gets stronger toward the end, and the few signature cuts off it stand over my favorites from Encore. I think the back to back to back features on Revival really hurt the ability for people to sit through the majority of it's middle section. Revival could and should be better, but I do like his modern approach when he gets into some of the songs, whereas I feel anything good off of Encore is in my opinion already Eminem Show B-Sides.

Assemblage 12.24.17	Encore just tends to be my least go-to listen also. It was the first one of his that didn't jive with me at first. It felt really recycled. The same could be said for Revival too I guess, but I don't mind it as much. If two or three songs were taken off Revival and replaced with some traditional hip hop, it'd probably not be as big of a difference in opinion. I also see Em coming out with something else sooner rather than later. To me Revival doesn't seem like a splash in the pond but more of getting his feet wet, so I can accept easier at face value.
Assemblage 12.24.17	I will due my diligence and relisten to Encore and perhaps the comp albums and see where it stands. In all honesty, I don't see Revival going any higher in his discography then where I have it, but I'm liking it now.
Assemblage 12.24.17	Spend Some Time is definitely a sleeper, a good slow jam but I don't get as much out of it as some of the other material.

Drifter 12.24.17	Understandable. It blew my mind the first time I heard Spend Some Time/Encore as a whole because it went from the utterly stupid Ass Like That to that. I absolutely love the beat on SST and I love Em's singing on it. Those songs from Encore with the piano beats are so damn good. Spend Some Time, Mockingbird, Love You More. Ahhhh

Assemblage 01.08.18	Eh, I'd say Eminem Show has about 3 skippable tracks whereas pretty much everything below it has more than 3 for me. No doubt The Slim Shady LP has some top songs that outshine everything on TES, but I like the vibe and reflective nature of his fame on it which carries it further for me. The whole Slim Shady/Eminem persona was a phenomenon whether good or bad, to his success, that I feel was really only accurately touched upon on TES.

Assemblage 01.08.18	Infinite is jams, no doubt. Relapse for me seems like a "do or die" kind of album, and while there are a few tracks which can be comparatively weak I appreciate how he stuck his neck out on that album. Recovery always felt very samey to me, more so than Relapse even, but it seems to have got a lot more respect over the years and he does spit well for most of it. Revival I'm still wrapping my head around. I get why it's disliked but I still feel it's way too negatively received. I wouldn't say it is a grower, but I more or less accept it for what it is I guess. It does stray off in too many directions, and it's like Eminiem-lite, but I can still see it as a creative "endeavor" for someone late in his career but unsure of where to go. Much like Infinite, but instead of it being where to go on that album, it's how to do it.

Assemblage 01.09.18	Yeah but does everyone forget Fack was the opening song to a greatest hits album? It's such an obvious troll that it deserves a 1/10 instead of the automatic 0. Nevertheless, I agree. Some of the oddest artistic decisions plague his albums.

Assemblage 02.21.18	I wouldn't disagree with the sentiment about SSLP at all, it's almost one of a kind with its phenomenon-esque status. 5x platinum is pretty successful. Plus it's some decent rap. TES at 2nd is preference really.
