11.07.17 | Thanks a ton thunder, that's great to hear. I ended up buying an old cassette 4-track from the 80's on eBay and did all of my recording and mixing through that, and then just added the crossfades on Ableton after the fact. I tried to keep it pretty simple this time around and see what I was capable of with just a guitar and the sounds I had around me. |

11.07.17 | btw, if anyone knows how to fix eternal feedback on the first track of an old cassette mixer, let me know. I already replaced the capacitors for the pre-amp circuit, and the first track blew out as soon as I finished recording Eli. I don't want to buy another one of these things lol, they're kind of a gamble since they're so old. |

11.07.17 | Just jammed the whole thing. Really enjoyed tracks 1 and 2, they flows really nicely, and my fave would be "Ashamed". I prefer your acoustic stuff, love the lo-fi production there, the field recordings and ambient drag a bit on 3 and 4, or in the closer (although the middle part is great). I didn't dig much the spoken word on Virginia, but that's just me, not a big fan of spoken word in general. Interesting album all in all, so nicely done man ;) |
