Songs of Time

I'm a fan of Rock Operas(and musicals in general), nerdcore, gaming(specifically Legend of Zelda), and Nathan Sharp. So this album had me hyped like you wouldn't believe. Being familiar with the story of Ocarina of Time really helped with adding to things I liked about the album. I also like to think it's good for people who don't know Zelda, have not tested the theory though.

"Time To Go" kind of sounds like it's sung by a total douchebag. Like Joshua from TWEWY. Like seriously hear me out, Rauru sounds like he kind of knows more than he should (he is a sage but, Like Joshua, in a weird way). Something about the line "Now every creature in this world is placed to play their own part" kind of sounds like he... knows some shit. Like he might even be withholding important info from Link (like Joshua to Neku). Whatever maybe I'm just a conspiracy dipshit.

Favorite Songs: Hands of a Theif and Time To Go
2Modest Mouse
Good News for People Who Love Bad News

My personal favorite Modest Mouse song and song in general, 3rd Planet, may not be on this album but that doesn't even make a difference to me, every song makes me feel every emotion they go for whether it's a sad regret like in Ocean Breathes Salty or simple bliss like in Float On. The cover to the album is also really nice, something about the minimalist images, light coloring, and how the arrows missing their target really captivates me.

The album on a whole makes me a little depressed so it's definitely a mood thing if you're not ready to get fucked up, maybe some other time.

Favorite Song: Float On & The World At Large
3Flogging Molly
Drunken Lullabies

Favorite Song: Rebels of the Sacred Heart & Sun Never Shines on Closed Doors
4Ninja Sex Party
NSFW

A comedy album that manages to make me crack a smile every time I listen to one of their tracks, NSP is one of three bands that I can happily binge listen to and never get tired (the others being Brentalfloss and LP of Destruction). All of NSP's albums all pretty great and I recommend them all.

Favorite Song: Manticore & Objects of Desire
5Andrew W.K.
The Wolf

Something about this albums melodies appeals to me just a bit more than "I Get Wet". Something about it makes me think it's a crazy superhero anthem.

Favorite Song: Never Let Down
6Andrew W.K.
I Get Wet

If you ever needed a good work-out album, anything this guy does is perfect to make you want to do something, even if that involves that are questionable. The whole album is about dark subject matter like Drugs, Sex Abuse, Murder, but with the tone of something lighter and almost makes you want to join in on the 'fun'. The song 'Ready to Die' is a good example of this being about them killing people for a reason I don't quite know, just because I suppose... the song itself also has a lot of nostalgic value to me as well.

Favorite Song: Got To Do It & Ready to Die
7Kanye West
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

A concept album about Race, Power, Self-depreciation, knowing your weaknesses but not how to better yourself. Even though I'm pretty far from Kanye, this album does speak to me because I can relate to his words and the meaning behind them, even though I couldn't possibly relate.

Favorite Song: Runaway & Hell of a Life
8Nujabes
Metaphorical Music

This album is almost entirely instrumental jazz/hip-hop music, and when the vocals do come in they're all amazing and meaningful. Incredible how much talent is in this. Even the cover is pretty cool.

Favorite Tracks: Think Different
9Queen
The Platinum Collection

I *was* going to dock some points just for being a "Best of" album, but it's queen every album is basically a "Best of" album, so why not just pick the explicit Top 30 on the list.

Favorite Song: Radio GaGa & Bohemian Rhapsody
10Ninja Sex Party
Under the Covers

Docking .5 stars just for being covers. However, most of, if not all, are even better than the original. Especially "Your Love" I don't like the OutField version.

Favorite song: Your Love & Take On Me
