Five Blackened Thrash Metal bands you'll love
Blackened Thrash Metal is one of the most underpreciated subgenres worldwide even though it has one of the most creative bands of the Black Metal and Thrash Metal scene combined. You probably heared of Skeletonwitch but compared with the following five groups, they're just the Bmth of Blackened Thrash Metal.
Before you get salty, take a minute without wasting it while listening to them and take a look at one of the most exciting musicians worldwide. |
1 | Inverticrux
Doom comes in various styles but I've never heared of Blackened Thrash Doom until now.
It combines everything I like. The hysterical Black Metal vocals, energetic Thrash Metal riffs and an atmosphere which will make you drown slowly in your own empty doom.
But there's only one band that succeded to also add some goofyness in their songs and art which impressed my young ears even more. I felt like discovering a darker Candlemass and boys and girls - This feeling was amazing.
And I want you to experience the same feeling like me so I show today a band with a good attitude. |
2 | Birth Ritual
Birth Ritual may be the newest answer to Sabbat and I like both of them. The members are from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Did you know Fenriz let a song by them play on his radio station? |
3 | Acherozu
'Uncrowned King' is their only studio album and it was released in 2015. It seems not a lot know about them even though their guitar players do their job very well. |
4 | Black Anvil
All members also play in other NYH bands you might have heared of before but let's get back to them. Since 2008 they've released multiple albums. It were four excactly. The opinions about these are mixed but the most liked one by fans is 'Triumvirate'. |
5 | Sabbat
Sabbat are probably one of the most famous exports outside of Kuwana or Japan in general before Babymetal even existed. My favorite songs by them are 'Samurai Zombies' and 'Charisma'. I found them with the help of Metal Archives. I prefer them over Skeletonwitch. Not because they're from Japan like you might assume. It's because I simply like the vocalist's voice a lot more than the vocals in the other similiar band. |
