Seven unknown Metal bands you'll adore
Have you ever felt like going on an adventure to find new bands? I had this feeling and after a while new great musicians have been found. In this list you will find new music for your entertaining and of course all of them play weird stuff. |
1 | Klabautamann
My dream supergroup is made of members of Ulver, early Opeth, Empyrium and Maudlin of the well but this will never happen so I'm glad to have found a band which just sounds like my fantasy. You get excactly what you think of - Only the superiour and loved elements of these bands were combined like Lego to manifest something rarely seen in our scene - 'Stephen King's It' just as soundtrack. |
2 | Unlight Domain
'I used to be a Black Metalfan like you but then I found Unlight Domain'. Cuba is not known having any famous Black Metal at all but its citizens really know how to play macabre riffs which get support with some Pantera elements without loosing their focus on the darker genre. This group isn't too shy to use some modern constructions to build up an amazing atmosphere. |
3 | Kadenzza
"Now I started feeling the power inside and also thinking of resurrecting Kadenzza! Kadenzza fans, I won't disappoint you!". That's what Oshima promised after joining the legendary japanese band Sigh. And he didn't dissapoint us at all. But why would Sigh even ask him to join as guitar player?
As example - The following song is a djenty Carach Angren track mixed with horror movie synths. Brilliant. That's a strange band only a smart person can create. |
4 | Rot
Black Metal Hipster's be like - 'I only listen to Vietnamnese Raw Black Metal.' But maybe they have this time a great taste. The only band from Vietnam which actually plays some low fi music and not that silly V Pop which is like K Pop that sounds like a less weird version of J Pop and you know what? - Whatever you think of Pop, these guys from Ho Chi Minh City are definetely better than any pop star. |
5 | Dødsfall
I didn't forget about you, dear fan of the second wave. That's why I have a wonderful suprise for you - Norwegian Black Metal produced in Sweden. If you meet any person from Norway and you want to tell him you like this band tell him/her 'Vil du gifte deg med meg.' He/She will never forget this wonderful moment of listening to such harmonic melodies. |
6 | Sword of darkness
Something is obscure when two brothers from Vietnam decide to live in the United States to play some Flamenco riffs in Symphonic Black Metal. Have I already mentioned that it actually sounds pretty awesome? No? Okay, let me do it now. It's pretty awesome. Enjoy this gem with your loved ones on christmas, let it play on your first date or annoy your neighbors with it. However you listen to it, it's your story how to feel the passion of these two siblings. |
7 | Furdidurke
Darkthrone's Punk influenced era contains one of the most underrated album collections worldwide. Furdidurke continued the legacy with songs that remind you of tracks like 'Hiking Metal Punks' by 'Noctu' and Fenriz. This rebellious song is better than the stormcloak rebellion in ye homeland they call Skyrim.
He who doesn't know this American group shall listen to them immediatly. |
