Can't be the discount version of something it predated. Prototypical, more like....
I feel like I don't have near the emotional attachment to Brand New that the rest of this site does. 'The Devil And God...' got a lot of people through a lot of bad times, but it's honestly tied with YFW as the Brand New album I listen to the least. Likewise, I enjoy 'Daisy' because it was the first Brand New album whose release I got to be excited for. My favorite, though, is still probably 'Deja Entendu' because "Sic Transit Gloria" was the first Brand New song I ever heard, and it was an essential part of my musical journey. That being said, switch 2 and 5, and you have my ranking.
'Science Fiction' is ballin', though. Probably will climb the ranks (I've already listened to it more times through than I ever have TDAG). |
