i've been put off the death note soundtrack because it involves watching death note, the manga of which i found intensely dull.
I'll check the Space Patrol Luluco one, already well aware of Samurai Champloo's soundtrack and it is really good but I tried to get things a little more obscure, or less well known for their music.
btw i just recently finished watching penguindrum.
the ED was nice but i liked the first OP more tbh
also i had some problems with the later 2/3s of the show
6/10 overall
yeh penguindrum starts super strong and then tails off, but i like the basic cast and aesthetic not enough to mind. the hospital episode is the goat of course. op is good too for sure.
i've not seen monster yet cus it's hella long but i'll get round to it. i love david sylvian so i'll check out the ed
