05.05.17 | Honestly I never thought id say this about a thor movie but I'm more stoked for Ragnarok than any other upcoming comic film. |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
05.05.17 | Do we get to see a flashback of the original guardians in this? |
LethalPaintball
05.05.17 | I just got out of it, loved it but I think the first was better. Drax was way funnier in this one though |
deathschool
05.05.17 | Drax ended up being my favorite character in the first movie, so if he gets more time to shine, I'm sure I'll love it. |
tellah
05.05.17 | stoked to see it |
polyrhythm
05.05.17 | First didn't humanise its characters well enough for me. I didn't sympathise with anyone, so the stakes felt low, and a lot of the humour / action grated
The second film gives everyone a solid arc and as such is far superior. All the tongue-in-cheek explosive wackiness is actually grounded by something. There's a beating heart beneath all that pretty cellophane |
jtswope
05.05.17 | Seeing this tonight. Staying away from reviews for now, but glad you enjoyed it. |
Toondude10
05.05.17 | I enjoyed it more than the first one tbh. It's absolutely hilarious. |
ScuroFantasma
05.05.17 | I enjoyed it a lot, personally thought the first was a bit better but it was a great movie. This one is more Guardians than it is Galaxy if you know what I mean, like there was less emphasis on crazy space adventures than their was on the character arcs which paid off in some ways, but I do enjoy my crazy space adventures. |
Sinternet
05.05.17 | all my mates said it was shite compared to the first which i didnt like much anyway so im avoiding this |

05.06.17 | "there was less emphasis on crazy space adventures than their was on the character arcs which paid off in some ways, but I do enjoy my crazy space adventures"
crazy space adventures mean squat when the characters have no soul |
Divaman
05.06.17 | Seeing it tomorrow. |
MoeWigglebottom
05.06.17 | haven't seen it yet :( |
ScuroFantasma
05.06.17 | @poly I guess, but I don't share that complaint with the first one. I thought they did a pretty great job at setting up the characters, particularly Rocket and Starlord, but I felt I got a decent sense of everyone's basic back story and motivations. |
NorwichScene
05.06.17 | I'm Mary Poppins y'all |
TheSpirit
05.06.17 | This was great, but the first movie was better. There was too much going on in this one, it felt kind of cluttered at times. I need to see it again before i can come up with a real opinion. |
polyrhythm
05.06.17 | how about you come up with a better opinion while yo at it |
TheSpirit
05.06.17 | i'm gonna try |

05.06.17 | The final half was epic. I think this superhero movie saturation is slowly showing it's effect. Can we have movies like The Crow and TDK please? The Winter Solder was pretty close. |
Faraudo
05.06.17 | I think this one is way better than the original, it has some way needed character depth, and the action is spectacular, to say the least. |
Evreaia
05.06.17 | This one is way better than the first.
I didn't really like the first one, but this one was great. |

05.06.17 | I hate most MCU movies, but I loved the first Guardians. One of my favorite movies of the decade. Think I'll like this one? |
TVC15
05.06.17 | Watching this later today hype |
gocsa666
05.06.17 | It's a notch below the first one for me but that one also had the element of surprise on its side...(even though it was James Gunn who I loved way before Guardians). The middle portion of the second film drags quite a bit. |
KenboSlice
05.06.17 | Kurt Russell is the most charming man alive |

05.07.17 | Saw it tonight. Great use of music. |

05.07.17 | I enjoyed the hell out of the first one when it was uploaded on Netflix, which is exactly the amount of money and effort I'll be spending on the second one.. |
Divaman
05.07.17 | >The Chain was used superbly
So was "Father and Son" |

05.07.17 | In 4 months, the same people that praise this as better than the first will be changing their opinion. Bet on it... |
LepreCon
05.07.17 | Loved this movie, seeing it again for sure |
TVC15
05.07.17 | Saw it and I loved how character driven the movie was. That final battle with Peter's dad felt like an ugly combination of Age of Ultron and X-Men Apocalypse tho. Not that it wasn't good but it brought a bad sense of deja vu. And absolutely agree, the soundtrack fit the movie perfectly
That actually makes sense Pots, especially since that trailer had a similar style to GotG. Pretty stoked to see it too |
ScuroFantasma
05.07.17 | @Pots yeah you see the original guardians, quite briefly, but they're there. |
Slex
05.07.17 | Loved it, some of the images were just unbelievable. The first was a little more enjoyable and novel but I think Vol 2 is the better, more ambitious of the 2
also man they really nailed the feels damn |
Lord(e)Po)))ts
05.09.17 | "That actually makes sense Pots, especially since that trailer had a similar style to GotG. Pretty stoked to see it too"

05.09.17 | thor 3 is looking to be the best marvel studios film thus far, really stoked |
Keyblade
05.09.17 | it was so dope. Drax has to be the funniest movie character in a while holy shit
idk what it is about this franchise that makes me love it, it's got this like 90's sci fi tv series vibe to it idk how to explain it |
Kalopsia
05.09.17 | "idk what it is about this franchise that makes me love it, it's got this like 90's sci fi tv series vibe to it idk how to explain it"
Hints of Farscape maybe? |
Devastator
05.10.17 | Drax is such a well written character holy shit. |
Kalopsia
05.10.17 | Michael Rooker really takes me out of the movie cuz all I can think about is why Merle Dixon took a bath in blue paint. |
BallsToTheWall
05.10.17 | Kurt Russel's heel turn still haunts me. |
Brewtality91
05.10.17 | this movie is woat |
BallsToTheWall
05.10.17 | Drax rules, giving him more screen time was a great call. |
Kalopsia
05.10.17 | anyone start playing the GotG Telltale Game?
It's... another Telltale game for sure. It feels like the stakes are lower since I know none of the Guardians have a chance of dying... right? Like even in this canon/non-canon game, the universe is still sort of set to Marvel status quo. |
NastyCrab
05.10.17 | oh man I guess I'm in the minority but I thought the first one was waaay better. It's like they couldn't figure out how to do character development for 7 different characters so that's just what the entirety of the movie was. The plot was pretty uninteresting and the whole movie just had this very serious gravitas to it, often lacking the tongue-in-cheek nature of the first movie. I really liked the first movie because it broke the Marvel movie mold but this just falls right back into it. Bummer. |
MO
05.10.17 | the try hard joking dialogue is starting to kill all superhero movies for me. it just gets tiresome |
Keyblade
05.10.17 | I usually get annoyed by that too but it's actually hilarious here |
guitarded_chuck
05.10.17 | superhero movies got old in like 2003

Keyblade
05.10.17 | u watch superhero movies in the theaters or not at all imo |
