| A7x Ranked
Haven't done a list in a little while and I've been wanting to do this for a little while. | | 7 | | Avenged Sevenfold Hail to the King
What a surprise and how predictable? The lowest rated A7x on the website gets that reputation for a good reason. It is an uninteresting, repetitive album with uninteresting drumming. I guess that is what they were going for, but that doesn't make it good. It has about 3 good songs on it, one being the title track, Sheperd of Fire is enjoyable and Coming Home is great. Outside of that, this album more or less sucks. | | 6 | | Avenged Sevenfold Sounding the Seventh Trumpet
Just a metalcore album but the lack of Gates is really noticeable. Also, M. Shadows isn't the greatest screamer. Just an ehh album, nothing too great and nothing that bad, per say. | | 5 | | Avenged Sevenfold Nightmare
Probably overall better than self-titled, but not by much. I still really enjoy this album and we have now left the zone of albums of which I find little enjoyment from. | | 4 | | Avenged Sevenfold Avenged Sevenfold
Really, the reason it is this high is because I absolutely love Afterlife. So much. There are a few other songs that are good, but man, I love Afterlife. | | 3 | | Avenged Sevenfold Waking the Fallen
Brace yourselves, the flame war is coming! Waking the Fallen is NOT #1 album in their discography :O. I just don't find that is that great. Sure, it's good, really good, but it definitely does not live up to they hype that it receives and is just a metalcore album. | | 2 | | Avenged Sevenfold City of Evil
And the Silver Medal goes to City of Evil. Leaving their metalcore roots behind and going to a more melodic, solo-driven A7x sound that we know today. Sprawling songs, intricate melodies, and Shadows finaly giving up screaming, City of Evil is an amazing album that has plenty of replayability. | | 1 | | Avenged Sevenfold The Stage
After the massive letdown of HTTK, A7x came back with a new energy and a more progressive sound. The solos were amazing, the drumming was on point and "Exist" is a 15-minute masterpiece. Highlights are the title track, God Damn, Fermi Paradox, and Exist. | |

05.01.17 | Is "just a metalcore album" an insult? There's some fucking stellar Metalcore oh there. Take "The Fall of Ideals" by All That Remains for example. | hasan

Nope, it isn't. I'm just saying that it isn't anything special and it is an average album, that happens to be in the metalcore genre. | Dedes
05.01.17 | Ah ok my bad, lol took it the wrong way. I'm probably being a typical sput Waking the Fallen is easily my number 1 (even if his screams are technically shit) | Drifter

05.01.17 | You'll probably get a lot of hate for even mentionning A7X, but it's honestly a great list you made.
While I'm not the band's biggest fan, I'm pretty sure it's far from being the worst band ever, especially as Waking The Fallen is a pretty fine album. | KManoc1
05.01.17 | Well isn't this ironic. You think The Stage is their best album because of it's Progressive Metal sound, I think it's their worst album for the exact same reason. | Titan

05.02.17 | Decent ranking I guess
Top 3 is the same as mine but in backwards order
Nightmare and STST need to be higher
