Years ago I found a burned cd that just said "first public image album." I went years thinking this was Lydons response to the Sex Pistols fame. I grew to really love this album and I still think it's great. Years later my friend set me straight and told this was not the first record. Oh well I still think the first half slays and I love the smoothness of it all. |

This Is What You Want... This Is What You Get
Their first pop record or whatever. Sort of hit and miss at times but really interesting stuff and tie me to the length of that has such a cool bass line. This is not a love song is among their best. |

What The World Needs Now
I'm so happy they still have it in them. Although not nearly as good as their first three records it is really satisfying and even has a few tracks that could be considered classic Pil. |

The opening track is possibly the worst song they did. I think people wanted this to suck but were frustrated that it actually wailed pretty hard at times. |

Possibly their heaviest record. Really catchy stuff. Songs sort of plod along but aren't boring. One of the better late career Pil albums. |

Happy?
Some stuff is pretty cool on it. Lots of background singers and what not. Nothing knocks it out if the park but nothing sounds bad. |

Album
the artwork matches the musics generic sound. Sounds a lot like an 80s album with a pissed off British guy. Nothing is terrible on it but nothing is truly great. Some of the live versions of these songs are really good though. |
