Top 15 Favorite Songs

This was quite a hard list to make, considering I have a pretty large collection of music that I like. With that said, numbers 5-1 are not quite exact placements but are very close to it. I also messed up on some placements, but I'm lazy and don't feel like fixing it, oh well, don't judge me too hard, I still yearn to fit the stereotype of "lazy teen".
15Metallica
Master of Puppets

Actually meant for this to be at #12, oops. But anyways, the pinnacle song of Metallica and, besides Enter Sandman, it is the song most associated with Metallica. The riffing is on point, the solos are awesome. A great song that proves that early Metallica is still something to like.

Thanks for Nothing

I just love this song. Solid writing, I like the rap structure and the bridge is solid. Most other people would forget about this one but I really, really like it.
13The Offspring
The Kids Aren't All Right

The only song I actually know on guitar and my introduction to these punk rockers, The Kids Aren't All Right is easily my favorite song by them. Also, not to be confused with FOB's abomination that goes by the same name.
12Linkin Park
All For Nothing

If you've already looked down, you'll see Behemoth next. Yep, LP then The Dillinger Escape Plan and I have no shame. This song is arguably the best LP song to date and I really like it. Also, this song is nostalgic more or less due to LP being my gateway band to metal.
11The Dillinger Escape Plan
Any Song

I honestly don't know enough of them to have a favorite song, but these math metal titans deserve a spot here on this list for how awesome they are. Also, tis quite unfortunate that they called it quits, but they left on a really, really loud bang.
10Slipknot
Before I Forget

My favorite out of Slipknot's discography, Before I Forget is the band in a nutshell without the swearing. The riffs are on point, it has strong production, and it is easy to headbang to. I just love this song.
9Rise Against
Prayer of a Refuge

I actually meant to put this song higher on the list, like at 7, but I'm too lazy to move it. The best of Rise Against is a well written, understandable track of their best album. I honestly don't know what else to say about it other than it is an awesome song.
8Cannibal Corpse
Hammer Smashed Face

It's Cannibal Corpse and one of their great songs. From the Barnes era of Cannibal Corpse, this song almost defines a whole genre. So it has to be a good song, right?
7Testament
The Pale King

A bit of a newcomer to Testament only to find a plethora of great material by them, huh, shouldda joined sooner. But as it is, The Pale King is my current favorite, but I haven't quite had time to get to know all the material, so if there are any great songs by them, let me know.
6Pantera
Walk

Walk on home Boy.

Also, great Dimebag riff (Rip Dimebag) and solo along with Anselmo's raspy voice more or less shouting out the words. If you are a metal fan and don't like Pantera, there is something wrong with you.
5Behemoth
Ben Sahar

Like Testament, Behemoth is a band that I have only just recently gotten into. While Blow Your Trumpet Gabriel was also a contender, I just found this one more interesting to listen to. Again, I have only recently started listening to Behemoth, so if I missed one of their greats, let me know down in the comments.
4Slayer
Angel of Death

Though many people probably prefer Raining Blood (a very close second here), I find Angel of Death to be the greater of the two songs of the great album Reign in Blood. The riffing is Slayer and just amazing on all fronts and the lyrics, while disturbing, are quite good, especially since I find WW2 history quite interesting.
3Meshuggah
Clockworks

Though Bleed and Obzen were also contenders, I choose Clockworks simply because A.) It is awesomely heavy and B.) I can actually understand some of the lyrics, gg me, gg.
2Iron Maiden
Hallowed Be Thy Name

it was between this song, The Trooper, and Rime of the Ancient Sea Mariner for this spot, as I have a special place in my love for all of these songs. What put it ahead is simply as of right now, I like the arrangement of Hallowed Be Thy Name more than the others.
1Megadeth
Tornado of Souls

Off one of my all time favorite albums, I just can't seem to leave this song alone. Whether it is Dave Mustaine's lyrics or the awesomeness of Friedman's guitar solo, it is kinda hard to not love this song.
