| Nostalgia (finale)
The final piece of the list of songs that make me wish I was a kid again... | 1 | Third Eye Blind Semi Charmed Life
I'm not listening when you say, goodBYYYYYYYYYYYYE! How can you not love the do do doos in the chorus? | 2 | Seven Mary Three Cumbersome
One of the few one hit wonders of the nineties I wish would have stuck around for a while. Great song | 3 | Eve 6 Beautiful Oblivion
Just another one of those 90's songs with awesomely odd lyrics. | 4 | Jurassic 5 What's Golden
Intelligent and well crafted hip-hop ftw! | 5 | City High What Would You Do
As an upper middle class white kid I obviously couldn't identify with the struggle of raising a baby whose father was in of lockdown for smoking crack, but I still enjoyed the song nonetheless. | 6 | Jane's Addiction Been Caught Stealing
Even though I was a fetus at the time of this song's release I still like to think of it as a song I grew up with. | 7 | Faith No More Epic
Mike Patton is the man! Seriously though, you can't deny how effing awesome this song was. | 8 | Linkin Park Crawling
Even though I hate admitting it, Linkin Park was one of my favorite bands when I was ten years old. This song made me feel so hardcore. | 9 | Incubus Drive
This song started a two year long obsession with the band, and while I'm more or less over it, this song will always hold a place in my heard for changing my musical outlook. | 10 | The Everly Brothers Bye Bye Love
As a very young kid I grew up listening to my dad's record collection which included mostly golden oldies such as Buddy Holly (the actual guy) the Big Bopper, Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry and the like. This was just one of the many songs that stuck out from that time period. | 11 | Better Than Ezra Good
One of the most overlooked 90's alt rock bands of all time IMO. The song just made me feel...well...Good about life. | 12 | Toadies Possum Kingdom
Do you wanna die? | 13 | Hootie And The Blowfish Only Wanna Be With You
You can't deny the awesome power of a black man in a cowboy hat... | 14 | Dirty Vegas Days Go By
Pt. 1 of electronica/dance songs that you can't help but shake your but to. | 15 | Daft Punk Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger
Pt. 2 of electronica/dance songs that you can't help but shake your but to. Daft Punk seriously took sampling to a whole new level as an art form. Its a shame that people like Kanye West had to ruin a good thing... | |

08.30.08 | 5 and 8 man, i completely agree City High ftw | JAV
08.30.08 | Eve 6 - Inside Out | BallsToTheWall
08.30.08 | I always listened to 8 before soccer practice. It did make me feel badass as well. | ninjuice
08.30.08 | if you're saying Kanye ruined sampling, you're an idiot
actually, I don't think he even ruined the song. | Masochist
08.30.08 | EPIC WIN. #1 makes my day!
Great list, my favorite of the three. #3, #7, #8, #12, and #'s 13-15 are also amazing. Can't believe someone actually put "Days Go Bye" on a list like this, thought I was the only one who appreciated the song :-P.
By the way, I don't think I know a person who hates LP now who didn't like them when they first came out. They introduced A LOT of people to hard rock, and no matter how many people deny it today, back when peeps were young teens and could identify with the angst and such, those guys were the shit! As for me...I don't mind Linkin Park at all, but I was sort of disappointed with their latest album. Oh, well. |
