| iwrestledabearonce Ranked
My ranking of the band's discography (all the releases listed on SputnikMusic) from worst to best. Along with rankings, i'll also be listing my top tracks from each release. | | 6 | | iwrestledabearonce It's All Dubstep
Definitely the worst thing released by this band, even though technically it was created by other artists. Completely unnecessary and unneeded EP.

To me, this is the most dumbed down IWABO album. It has its crazy moments, but for the most part, there's not a whole lot of interesting things going on. However, this album does have a solid vocal / singing performance courtesy of Courtney LaPlante (This was her first album with the band).
Top 5 tracks: "Letters to Stallone", "Thunder Chunky", "It Don't Make Me No Nevermind", "Carnage Asada", "Firebees" | | 4 | | iwrestledabearonce Ruining It for Everybody
This album marks when the band began to change a bit. The songs became less chaotic than the ones on "It's All Happening", and more structure was added to each track. For the most part, this slightly new direction worked well for the band. Sadly, this was also the last IWABO album to feature vocalist / singer Krysta Cameron.
Top 5 tracks: "Next Visible Delicious", "It Is "Bro" Isn't It?", "You Know That Ain't Them Dogs' Real Voices", "Karate Nipples", "Gold Jacket, Green Jacket" | | 3 | | iwrestledabearonce Iwrestledabearonce
The EP that started it all. The songs here are chock full of sudden genre changes, random movie / video game samples, and overall craziness. Most people who hear this for the first time might be put off by how wacky and odd the band is. The band would end up maturing (I say that very lightly) on their debut album.
Top 3 tracks: "Alaskan Flounder Basket", "Vlork: Mighty Wielder of Sheep", "Ulrich Firelord: Breaker of Mountains" | | 2 | | iwrestledabearonce It's All Happening
Just by looking at the cover, you know what you're getting into. "It's All Happening" is IWABO in their prime (Along with their self-titled EP), though that can be debatable. This album sees the band maintaining the style presented on the debut EP, but putting it in a more cohesive format (Again, i'm saying that very lightly). I'm sure that this album is in the top 5 of every 'scenegrind' list ever made.
Top 5 tracks: "Danger in the Manger", "I'm Cold and There Are Wolves After Me", "Tastes Like Kevin Bacon", "See You in Shell", "You Ain't No Family" | | 1 | | iwrestledabearonce Hail Mary
Just when you thought IWABO got soft, they return with this beast of an album. Nearly everything on this record is executed perfectly, and sounding even better than before (Courtney's vocals, for example). "Hail Mary" draws inspiration from "It's All Happening", but all the silly samples and sudden genre changes are gone. What's left is a mathy, grindy, djenty deathcore record that blows the band's previous efforts out of the water. This is the first album with new guitarist Mike Stringer, who does a fantastic job along with the rest of the band. To me, IWABO can be taken more seriously (Aside from their name) with this record, as most people were surely put off by the old style of IWABO. I look forward to seeing where they go from here.
Top 7 tracks: "Green Eyes", "Your God is Too Small", "Doomed to Fail (Pt. 1)", "Wade in the Water", "Remain Calm", "Gift of Death", "Killed to Death" | |
