And I fall asleep to death metal frequently. Just last night I fell asleep to Orphaned Land's "Mabool" However, I like the Flashbulb's Soundtrack to a Vacant Life and anything Eluvium for sleeping. Also, The Rescue by Explosions in the Sky is very sleep-worthy. |

08.30.08 | usually it's more or less impossible to me to fall asleep while listening to music. I automatically try to concentrate on the music, which makes it impossible to fall asleep, I just can't let go when I'm listening to something interesting
However, two months ago I did a two week trip to Spain and France with some friends, and we had so little sleep that falling asleep while listening to music was no problem anymore. And I figured that it is almost completely irrelevant which kind of music it is, I fell asleep to both Metallica and Sigur Rós after a few songs.
But my favourite album was The Natural World Trilogy by Rick Wakeman, some ambient keyboard album, with each of the three discs running for about an hour. And that one sometimes works at home as well, it isn't really great music, not really interesting but still beautiful, calm and mellow. Try it out! |
