Short Stuff (Personal Use)

Just making a list of stuff people recommended on my list last night for easier reference.
1 Vomitoma
Procreation of Putridity
2Roro Perrot
Execution des Hautes Ouvres

[1.0] Of course Sach would rec Folk Grind
3Melvins
Lysol

[3.0] I found it kinda boring even through its short length
4Misfits
Walk Among Us

[4.2] Very fun and entertaining mix of pop punk and hardcore
5Nails
Abandon All Life

[4.1] Best Nails I think, maybe tied with You Will Never Be One of Us
6Sorority Noise
Forgettable

[2.7] There was a very generic feeling throughout this album. A few of the lyrics were fresh and enjoyable, but otherwise I did not feel like anything worthwhile came out of this release. Everything was competent enough, but I probably won't ever listen to this again.
7Old Man Gloom
Seminar III: Zozobra

[3.7] This was a really interesting little post-sludgy piece, that really did well to keep my attention with its atmosphere. This however, is a style I don't think is quite so well suited for an album of short length. I still may go back to this and rethink my rating though.
8Discordance Axis
The Inalienable Dreamless

[3.6] I was pleasantly surprised with some of the melodic/progressive bits inside this grind album. The beauty created with the dirty sounds was unique, but the flow lacked to complete the fullness of that atmosphere. It therefore was left flat as a virtuous album that just missed its mark.
9Off Minor
The Heat Death of the Universe

[3.4] I know, it's a classic. I just don't get it. It sounded good in places and like trash in others. I gained focus as it went, but I just can't say it is any better than this.
10The Red Chord
Fused Together in Revolving Doors

[4.1] Very surprisingly well-written and technical deathcore. Good stuff
11Eyedea and Abilities
By the Throat

[3.7] This was a really interesting sound concept for a band, which I was not expecting. The lyrics were pretty great in places too.
12Orchid
Gatefold

[4.2] Guess I have a lot of 4.2s now on this list. This album is an incredibly well focused hardcore emo type record, and I'll probably check more from these guys.
13Gorguts
From Wisdom to Hate
14Dark Angel
Darkness Descends
15Coyote Legs
Head Full Of Hope
16Elliott Smith
Roman Candle
17ee
Ramadan

[4.1] This is now one of my favorite indie/dream rock type albums probably only behind Lydia's Illuminate. They've got a very unique sound and are surprisingly still pretty undiscovered.
18Seam
The Problem With Me

[3.2] It felt low on energy to me, so I wasn't particularly interested.
19The Antlers
In the Attic of the Universe

[3.7] I love the atmosphere of their sound, but the execution just didn't quite match to me
20Esoteric
The Maniacal Vale
21Touche Amore
...To the Beat of a Dead Horse

[4.0] The flow felt a little patchy in places, but man were there some good songs ripe with emotion. I wish this one had been a little longer.
